Is sex with your OH the best you've ever had?

NC in case this ever gets back to me from my other posts Blush

Is sex with your husband or current partner the best sex you've ever had?

DH and I are happily married with DC and are pretty compatible in bed, the sex is good, and we mix it up to keep things interesting after being together for 8 years, Very satisfied.

BUT, is he the best I've EVER had? No. There was a guy I had a fling with in my early 20s who could make my knees shake, especially when he gave oral. The sex was next level. He sometimes pops in to my head (like now) and I wonder how lucky his wife is, getting shaky knees on the regular.

Anyone else? Blush

Hm the sex with my exh was incredible and I've never had better before or after. We also still seem to have chemistry off the scale. I've never known anything like it actually Confused

Tinkling · 25/04/2021 08:37

Yes, but I haven’t had many partners and the others were all virgins!

SeaTurtles92 · 25/04/2021 08:37

No.

purplebagladylovesgin · 25/04/2021 08:37

Yes.

Mind blown.

OMG!

And I'm old enough to be retired, how did that happen!?

Branleuse · 25/04/2021 08:43

Yes absolutely. Ive had good sex with others, even really good, but theres just real chemistry there with dp

Meowchickameowmeow · 25/04/2021 08:45

Maybe shaky knees guy's wife is so fed up with his shit in other areas that they don't have sex anymore!
I love sex with my husband, after 16 years he still turns me on more than anyone else has ever done.

I’m similar to you OP; me and DH have a great sex life and there is no one else I’d rather be having sex with. But I had a casual thing going with someone in my early 20s and sometimes it pops into my head because it was pretty mind blowing. We never could have had a relationship though and the whole situation was so different to with my DH that I don’t really compare it

PermanentTemporary · 25/04/2021 08:55

It's not quite that simple but we have a truly incredible connection and I'm having the best orgasms ever with him. I do have fond memories of some past experiences and partner characteristics that make me smile and I'll probably always remember. Quite happy with that.

WhySoSensitive · 25/04/2021 09:07

Just because he gave you shaken knees - doesn’t mean he would give his wife them.

FWIW, yes. 11 years and it just gets better!

AintPageantMaterial · 25/04/2021 09:10

Yes. And crucially it’s consistently good which had never been true in previous relationships. I feel that we’ll both want to keep having sex for as long as we’re physically capable. It’s one of the reasons I’m looking forward to getting old with him.

YetAnotherHastyNameChange · 25/04/2021 09:13

Yes, absolutely. Although it’s early days and I’m starting to get the feeling I’m letting a lot of things go that I usually wouldn’t as the sex is so good.

What I always wonder is all the women who say they have amazing chemistry with a man - do you think the man would also say the chemistry is amazing? Men seem very easily pleased in the bedroom and I’ve certainly had men before tell me how we’re having incredible sex and I’m just there thinking ‘are we?’

dudsville · 25/04/2021 09:19

I've had many partners. I've never had great sex, lots of wonderful men, good people, but sex was always just fine. I ended up deleting sexual compatability as a part of my criteria for choosing a partner.

BloodyGoodRep · 25/04/2021 09:20

No. It was at the beginning because we have such a connection and it was so hot. We’d have sex all the time and the sparks between us flew. I loved it. But a few years on we don’t have it very often (not sure why it just kind of died). He never wanted to try anything new (he says he’s happy with ‘normal’ sex ie vanilla), he doesn’t really like blow jobs and he’s never ever gone down on me (which every ex I’ve had has done). The best ever was a man 10 years older than me. He had a really small penis but my god, he was just amazing. He really knew what he was doing, it was fire. We would never have lasted due to the age difference/ he wasn’t really ready to settle down with someone with a kid but the sex was amazing, we’d see eachother at the weekend, have drinks, get lovely and tipsy then shag each other’s brains out every which way we could! Lovely times.

But DP is brilliant so when we do do it the connection is amazing and he’s so attentive but I was his first (or second I’m not sure but definitely no more than 2) and I think that shows sometimes. I’m a very sexual person and do feel like I have totally lost that side of myself since being with him

JanuaryJonez · 25/04/2021 09:59

I found my ex-boyfriend so sexy at the time that he was the only person I could fantasise about as well!!

The relationship fizzled out after two years and I met my DH towards the end. I don't miss him at all and my DH is better looking with a stronger character, but at the time it was a crazy attraction.

NiceTwin · 25/04/2021 10:10

No, dh has had ed since I met him 21 years ago. Tried viagra for a bit, wasn't great.

We have a great marriage though and only occasionally do I feel a little sad at what I am missing.
Had I married those I had great sex with, we wouldn't have lasted.

Shodan · 25/04/2021 10:18

Yes, unquestionably.

He wasn't the most skilled, when we first got together, but he's the only man I've ever had such chemistry with (yy to him being the one I fantasise about) AND he has always been very open to suggestions (which he follows up on!) and is secure enough not to feel criticised.

It's been a revelation for me - 50-odd years old, with a fair bit of experience under my belt, and none of them ever came close to matching up to him. That's not to say it didn't work with others, it was just a bit...unsatisfying.

Meruem · 25/04/2021 10:32

I don’t have a partner currently but like a pp, most of the sex I’ve had has been average at best. The one guy I really loved and would have loved to have had a deeper connection with, had a really low sex drive and some weird hang ups over sex. That was pure torture. Being with someone where I wanted it to be great but just getting him to want to in the first place was hard enough, then it was quick and unemotional. It’s the main reason we broke up.

I’m actually not fussed now about the other parts of a relationship. I’m an older woman with grown up DC, happy living alone, ok financially etc. I get everything I want/need elsewhere already except sex. So for me personally, to get into a relationship again the sex would have to be bloody brilliant! I am not settling for less anymore and would rather go without. Which is looking likely to be the case!

Jocasta2018 · 25/04/2021 10:36

Sadly no...
I had great sex with young men when I was in my 20s, real earth-shaking stuff with huge amounts of chemistry & pheromones a-go-go.
Sadly I've never met a long term partner that makes me feel like that & I guess as I creep into middle age, it's only going to get worseConfused

GNCQ · 25/04/2021 10:59

Sex with DP is way better than any I've had when it happens, but my ex certainly had a higher sex drive. We didn't live together but together 3 years, whenever we met up it was just shag shag shag, he was hot as anything. BUT the sex was very formulaic. We both had guaranteed orgasms on a regular basis but the erm thing I always needed to do for him to reach orgasm got really boring after three years.

DP and I have far less frequent sex than I would like, but it's way better quality.

namechangednorth · 25/04/2021 11:09

No DH isn't the best..he is pretty good but I would never ever tell him that my first experience and bf was also my best.

Was 19 when lost my virginity. BF was 25. Didn't rush me at all and was really excited he was going to be my first and we were two months into dating when we DTD on a weekend away. I was so lucky, as he was experienced and took his time. My first with him was mind blowing as he so took his time to make sure I was ready (begging for it) and had incredible orgasms. As we got relaxed he was also incredibly dirty and I'm ashamed to say turned me on by being like that with me. He was also a really nice large size (god I'm shallow)

Would like DH to be more like that...but don't think I could ever ask or suggest😮

I've been married 20 years and have great sex with my wife. She seems to really love it which makes me feel a bit of a stud which is nice! However she is not an early riser so morning sex never happens.
35 years ago I had a relationship with a ballet dancer who loved morning sex. She used to wake me up and ride me every morning. Still after all this time every day just for a split second when I wake up an image of her flashes through my mind. No regrets but it's a lovely memory to have. I just cuddle up to the wife who is usually snorteling like a piglet!
