Are all nursery meal and nap timings earlier than most families?

Just that really. Was looking at local nursery websites and the timings are all really early. Lunch at 11.15, dinner at 3.30. My baby has lunch at 1 and an afternoon snack at 3.30, and dinner at 6.

Has anyone else encountered this? Do you shift your whole family routine to adjust to the nursery timings, or do you somehow make it work for the days the baby is at nursery? She is only going part time, 2 days PW.

They just adapt. At nursery ours is lunch at about 11.45 and dinner at 4. At home we’re lunch at 12-12.30 and dinner at 6 and it has never caused any of mine any problems.

It's the same at DD's nursery but she just seems to manage to cope with the difference in timings on nursery days.

At home we have lunch at 1 and dinner at 6ish which is two hours later than nursery.

On nursery days DD doesn't get home until nearly 7 so I just give her a substantial snack (banana, yoghurt and some plain (no sugar) cereal and that seems to be sufficient.

Our nursery had this. Saying that, the tea was a snack, not a proper meal.

We ignored their timing and just carried on as normal on non-nursery days. That meant a snack mid-morning, lunch at 12.30, snack after nap/3.30pm and family dinner at 6.30pm

It never caused issues, similar to the non-issue that at nursery DD was often cuddled to sleep while at home she would settle herself.

I think lunch seems quite early, though maybe it's to fit in with when babies normally would nap. I think ours lunch time is around 11:30 to 12. They have a snack at 3:30, but it isn't 'dinner'. It's just like breadsticks, some fruit and milk. We then have 'snack' again at home around 5 and then a hot sit down meal around 6:30-7pm.
