I was really sad when I heard. His music is fabulous, I could listen to it all day. Original Sin and Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young are my favourite songs.

Tonight is what it means to be young is an absolute epic! I heard it once when I was in my teens and searched for it for years afterwards (pre-internet days).

Funny isn't it? You go for decades never hearing of anyone who has heard of him. Oh, they know Meatloaf and Bonnie, but not the writer! And now... we actually have people to share our sadness - and celebrate his mad genius

I was lucky enough to see the musical twice. It has what is now one of my all time favourite songs - 'What Part of My Body Hurts the Most?'

I saw Meatloaf on the 3 Bats (least said about the third album the better) and Last at Bat tours. Even though his voice wasn't what it was, the songs just carried it.
