I'm 52 and have never really suffered with hayfever before, though dd does. Today though I went into the garden and my eyes and nose are streaming, lots of sneezing.

Yes, it's a pollen allergy and you be sensitive to one or several different pollens which have different 'peak' times.

Tree pollen and grass pollen are the usual suspects. I have a blossoming cherry tree just beyond the front door (not my tree). It's spectacularly white but when it's in bud up to when it sheds its blossom it can really ramp up my hayfever. I have to use a nasal spray, Fexofenadine tablets and occasionally cetirizine too to deal with it.

I have a tree pollen allergy rather than flower pollen, so yes you can and people tend to have a better tolerance of regional flowers so if you eat locally produced honey this can really help

Yes tree pollen induced hay fever here which I grew into in my fifties after a lifetime of no hay fever. London plane trees are the worst for me, they make me cough as well as stream - very popular in covid times!

I take an antihistamine daily now from March to July. thankfully it seems to be all over by July.

Yep, I'm another tree pollen person, once we're into grass season I'll be much better. Bad atm.
