If you could only say one... And why?

For me... It's Tina Turner - The Best.... The lyrics, the best, so iconic. I think it's simply the best 🤣

Some excellent songs here. My contribution is Back for Good, Take That. To me it's a perfectly crafted song.

Make Me Smile(Come Up and See Me)
Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel.

the80sweregreat · 16/04/2021 18:23

Some great tunes on here !
I also like ' back for good'
Ds2 said that when he went clubbing once (in pre covid days ) they played it right at the end of the night to a lot of drunken swaying around and hugging!
Gary Barlow might be a tax dodger, but he can write a good tune.

Puppylucky · 16/04/2021 18:26

Pop Musik by M. If you've not heard it before - possible as it's quite old and not very famous you can thank me later Smile

Primal Scream - my love shines one. Amongst others. Eloise is rattling around my head today for some reason.

80sMum · 16/04/2021 18:35

"I'm a Believer" by The Monkees.

VivaDixie · 16/04/2021 18:38

Eloise by the Damned is absolutely wonderful @toffeebutterpopcorn

Take on Me by Aha will always give me goosebumps

My guilty secret is Cuddly Toy - always gets me jumping around.

Mrsmchammer · 16/04/2021 18:41

@Puppylucky I live Pop Musik. Total earworm.

Infact this is a thread of basically my feel good playlist 🤣 Not a song mentioned I don't love. OP we need a Top Ten for sure.

I was nearly swayed by AHa but I'm going to vote The Knack and their iconic tune My Sharona😂

Makes me think of Alan Partridge. Great tune

@Pomped

Club Tropicana 😃
This came straight into my head when I read the thread title Smile
HairboStrawb · 16/04/2021 18:46

This is my kind of thread! @Puppylucky fantastic choice of song!

I'm finding it hard to pick just one. I'm a big Build Me Up Buttercup (The Foundations) fan, but also Lets Hear It For The Boy (Deniece Williams) is one of my favourites. But also Sir Duke (Stevie Wonder). I think this question is impossible for me to answer!
