What garden toys do you have for primary age DC?

Other than big-ticket items like trampolines and climbing frames, what do your primary aged DC play with in the garden?

I have DC 5 and 7 and have a new garden, and I’m not sure what to buy that will entertain them!

Sand pit , pool, swing set with extra double swing tree house sand pit and slide, two more slides, chalk, buckets and paint brushes to paint the shed, scooters and bikes, inflatable hoppers, skipping ropes , football goals, play house ,giant snakes and ladders, bouls and skittles mud kitchen , four child seesaw and basketball hoop.
We spend a lot of time in the garden !

I got space hoppers last summer and they love them. Football goals get used a lot, basketball hoop got used less.

When my sons were younger, they loved digging and all the pretend builders stuff you can get.

Bikes, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades.
We have a 3-in1 net which can be tennis, badminton or volleyball.
Sand pit.
Football, frisbee etc
Soft archery set
Skipping rope, Kubb, chalks, bubble rocket
We have use of a communal garden so can't leave anything out.

Cricket set, gardening tools, 50,000 balls, tennis set.

Theimpossiblegirl · 16/04/2021 13:32

My girls still love a badminton set and are late teens. The giant shuttlecocks add a bit of extra fun.

Thanks for suggestions - some good ideas here. We only have a small garden so it’s hard to know what will have most use and longevity

@Reg15 out of everything we have the things that get used the most are the sand pit and the swing/slide/tree house set.

Sceptre86 · 18/04/2021 00:23

Aside from the big items that you memtion, we have a sand pit and water table, hula hoops and stepping stones. I would like to get a basketball stand and some goal posts.

That's why we had a variety of toys that could be stored away and get different things out to play with rather then big items.

Badminton set. Giant chalks and skipping ropes. They also love playing with the bloody horse pipe when it's vaguely warm.
Mine like setting up obscure obstacle courses and treasure hunts. Very sweet.

Inflatable goal, giant connect 4, swing/slide set, sand pit, water table, tennis set and cricket set
