I’m in so much pain and have been for days ☹️
The dentist won’t see me as doesnt believe its dental (true but the pain is radiating from a wisdom tooth that’s been broken for years so I’d like it checked)
The doctor had just said take ibuprofen and paracetamol and that it’s stress. The over the counter painkillers doesn’t touch the sides. Even codeine that I had for my slipped disk is barely helping.
I’m not diagnosed but I believe it’s my jaw. It’s always been quite clicky on one side, the pain is both sides of my jaw but more on the left. It feels in spasm and like I’m tensing my jaw until I realise and consciously relax it.

I don’t know what else to do! I can sleep, struggling to eat and I’m fed up :(

Thank you in advance for any suggestions

@TinyGlassOwl and @Blackenedsoul definitely try it. You will be pleasantly surprised! I used the BetterYou brand but there are many similar pure magnesium sprays out there. Also works a treat for my perimenopausal migraine Grin

I take oral magnesium but no idea if it helps.

So the dentist pulled my bottom left wisdom tooth as it was too far back and interfering with my jaw closing. It’s definitely helped but it’s still very tight and I can only open my mouth a couple of cm. I am sleeping better though.

I’m due back at Osteo on Thursday but I need to reschedule as my face is still very swollen.

To add insult to injury, I bloody broke my finger today 🤣

Just thought I would update this thread as I bought some magnesium oil and am cautiously optimistic about the results.

Yesterday I took my usual ibuprofen at about 7am. The magnesium oil arrived around midday and I sprayed some on my jaw and neck immediately, gave it a good rub in. Normally I would start to feel as if I needed some more painkillers by mid-late afternoon but yesterday I didn't. There was an occasional achey 'twinge' but no actual pain. I rubbed some more oil in at around 5pm and it seemed to help.

This morning I used the oil again first thing and I've not had to take any painkillers today so far. There is very dull, occasional ache in my right ear but absolutely nothing like it normally is and completely manageable.

So, obviously really early days but I'm going to keep going with it!

Oh, just to say it does give you a bit of a white tide-mark when it dries so do check your face before you leave the house Grin

That is fantastic news. I take it orally and I’m slowing improving. Today I’ve managed to get my jaw open almost two fingers wide. 2 weeks ago it was hardly anything.

I am under an Osteo and have a daily exercise plan too. It’s so annoying!

I am all good now, thank you (had a name change recently). The Osteo really helped and I’ve had no trouble since 😊

I highly recommend acupuncture. But a decent DIY acupressure facial roller is good too. Boots and The Body Shop do some but if you can find one with finer spikes then that would be better.

Sorry about the long link Blush

Botox works too! It’s amazing for this
