I'm just finishing a cup of coffee then going to get dressed.

There's washing to be done, and dd1's school shirts to iron ready for Monday (but only if she actually hung them in my wardrobe as I asked her to!).

Dd2 wanted to start the mouldy bread experiment (the handwashing one), and her praying mantis needs feeding, so we'll do that.

Other than that, I think it'll be a lazy kind of day, pottering about the house. Hopefully I can finish my current crochet project!

Not a clue what's for tea yet but I'm looking forward to a nice glass of wine with whatever we do have.

What about everyone else? :)

Getting ready for a few days away.

I bought a camper recently and I’ve almost finished doing it up, its done enough to use. Me, my little boy and the dog are off to a little site near Grandmas house.

So I’m doing a few vital jobs on the van, buying the last few bits we need and getting our clothes ready. I’ve got rugby training in a bit, so I need to get my arse into gear.

ipswichwitch · 10/04/2021 12:19

DS1 is playing football soon with DH helping coaching. They’re bringing home a late lunch from McDonalds. After that I’ll be heading to B&M and Lidl, hopefully planting some nice geraniums I got the other day (if it’s not too cold!) then it’s family movie night.

makingmyway10 · 10/04/2021 12:22

I have been for a patch test (as it’s now been 6months since my last colour!) outside my hairdressers in a temporary gazebo ready for my colour and cut on tues!
About to make some lunch for DH and I . It’s very chilly and grey here today so after walking the dog we might watch a movie.
Will have a long soak in the bath later and will light the fire this evening.
I have some chores to do, a few loads of washing and I need to make a list of things to go before we go away next week for a few days in Devon Smile

A quiet day at home.

LysistrataVickers · 10/04/2021 12:33

I've posted some stuff I sold on eBay and have been for a lovely walk alone in the local woods.
Shopping delivery came so put that away, did some cleaning and made lunch.
Need to repot two orchids this afternoon. DS1 is playing outside with his friend and DS2 is still eating his lunch.
DH keeps muttering something about grouting.

MrsMigginsPie · 10/04/2021 12:40

Lie in and cup of tea in bed.

Brekky for whoever was up

Washing on and washing up done

40min of yoga with Adrienne (bliss!)

Walked to shop with DH for some sausages for a fry up for lunch! Yum!

Trying to will myself to do some housework, eBay some stuff and declutter today. And chivvy DS1 to revise and chivvy DS2 to do something other than look at you tube.

Pheebs2021 · 10/04/2021 12:44

We walked the dogs earlier, we are watching a little of the Gun Salute on the news at the moment, it's quite a unique sight they won't (hopefully) happen many times in our lifetime. Could do with doing some work but the dogs are snoring and it's making me feel exhausted, maybe I'll join them in a nap.

Chipsahoy · 10/04/2021 12:45

We are hopefully moving soon. Eventually at some point, it takes forever! So more de cluttering to do today. Yay! AngryGrin

vampirethriller · 10/04/2021 12:51

We've been up since 5. (Toddler and me.) We've walked the dog, done some dancing to a few 80s classics, made a rhubarb crumble, now we're watching Peter Rabbit before lunch. Another walk later.

ShipshapeShore · 10/04/2021 12:54

What are you crocheting? I did a little coat for my sister's puppy this week, it looked great!

I need to tidy the house. Badly.

Our leopard gecko is having a cleanout this afternoon. She gets fed locusts because I really really hate crickets! I don't know why I'm OK with locusts but not crickets, they look evil to me Grin.

lucysmam · 10/04/2021 13:05

ShipShape I'm making a cardi for dd1. She wants the official Taylor Swift one but £75 on a cardi to me so I'm having a go at similar ish :)

It is a beautiful day here today, bright and sunny but chilly!

We’re house hunting, and have just seen one we love. Trying not to get too excited.

Car passed its MOT so that’s good.

Off to Tesco shortly to do the Big Shop, and then another house viewing this afternoon.

Also I slept amazingly well last night and woke up naturally at 7 - for context, I normally struggle to be on time to wfh for 9am Blush

ShipshapeShore · 10/04/2021 13:26

It's gorgeous @lucysmam and I agree that £75 is a lot for a cardi! I wince when I spend that much on food Grin.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 10/04/2021 13:45

@JackieTheFart good luck with the house-hunting. It's really hard not to get over-excited!

We have had a very glamorous morning buying large pieces of stone to plug holes under the base of our garden fence. We need the garden secure for our dog, who is an proper escapologist, given the chance.

Thirstquenching · 10/04/2021 13:51

Lazy morning here for me and ds. Do is away this weekend. Popped to Asda for bread and milk and to the chemist to have a look for something for the insect bites on my arm. Grabbed a Mcdonalds while we were out. Ds is out on his scooter with his friend and I've done a load of washing and hoovered now not sure what to do with myself.

Easy tea of bacon and egg rolls which was meant to be for lunch so will just swap them around. Movie night with the wee boy and then might read my book

gingercat02 · 10/04/2021 13:58

Just seen this, wondered where you were @Lucysmam 😂 Fairly average Sat here. Up about 9:30 coffee, washing on, breakfast with Saturday Kitchen, washing on line 2nd load on and almost finished. Light lunch and a walk but it's really cold so might be a short one! Burger and film night for the last proper night of the Easter hols

gingercat02 · 10/04/2021 14:01

Cardi looks lovely btw but I have no idea what the Swifty one looks like. ££££'s for a child!

MrsBerthaRochester · 10/04/2021 14:05

Hungover and not moved off couch. Ds1 gone to play football,ds2 gone to park,Dd sulking in bed as I wouldn't let her get bus to city centre.
Selling some stuff online as I'm skinter than skint and can't face using the food bank again. But at least it's sunny!

lucysmam · 10/04/2021 14:34

ginger the official one's knit & way more complicated than mine. I couldn't find a similar crochet pattern for it. There's no way I was paying that though!

MrsB I haven't been hungover for a loooong time! Hopefully it subsides soon!

Pretty slow morning with lots of coffee. Got my cleaning done early doors. Kids and dogs all sprawled in various comfortable spaces now, my playlist on YouTube for a change until someone commandeers the Xbox for minecraft/Fortnite. It's just started snowing so I'm glad I got the dogs walked before that turned up!

Takeaway and a film tonight because it's the last proper night of the holidays. Possible wine or JD and cola in the bath then straight into bed for some Netflix
