I think my children have left home without telling me...

Not really but I haven't actually set eyes on either of them yet today Hmm (& yes, I've checked they're alive & well & Minecrafting).

It's lovely and peaceful in my kitchen Grin

Have they designed you a new house yet? Also will the zombie/skeleton/spider defences help against local undesirables?

Have they worked out how to create an iron golem in real life yet? It could be a big help around the house.

lucysmam · 09/04/2021 14:52

Grin Kpo58 I try not to look when they're playing; it makes me feel travel sick.

I'm off up to disappoint them shortly & point out that it's their turn to walk to the shop for milk (they're 11 and 14 so not little, don't panic!).

I've barely seen my two. They've only come out of hiding for food. I should really insist they come and be social but a) I can't be bothered and b) I can't be arsed.Grin one day won't hurt right?

JosephineBaker · 09/04/2021 14:58

I can go ages without more than a passing sighting of mine. They are either out walking with their friends or in their rooms. Don't fret.

lucysmam · 09/04/2021 14:58

I'm surprised mine haven't come down for food yet tbh but it's nice & quiet so I'm leaving them to it for now 🤷‍♀️

How lovely, I don't see mine but I can definitely hear them, even Minecraft involves a group call.

Woodlandbelle · 09/04/2021 15:03

Mine are Minecrafting too. Its bliss Grin

littlefireseverywhere · 09/04/2021 15:21

My eldest does the same, 16 he does appear for food occasionally & acts as if I’ve starved him. Woke him up with a bacon sandwich at noon yesterday & he moaned it was too early. Grin

greensnail · 09/04/2021 15:23

Mine are minecrafting too. The twelve year old occasionally sends the ten year old downstairs in search of food, so I know they're still here!

Itsalonghaul · 09/04/2021 15:24

12th of April lockdown is over, so enjoy the peace whilst it lasts!

DonLewis · 09/04/2021 15:25

I thought it was just me that can't watch minecraft being played. I feel travel sick too!

HighlandCowbag · 09/04/2021 15:27

If you get lonely, just turn the Internet off. Guaranteed appearances in minutes.

I do it when am bored of waiting for them to do their chores.

maslinpan · 09/04/2021 15:30

Mine are both busy Minecrafting and I was beginning to feel that I should drag them away. But I remembered that I made the 12 yr old do an hour bike ride with me earlier, so I have achieved high level parenting compared to everyone else and I will just leave them to it. Thanks for enabling my inertia, Mumsnet!

doctorhamster · 09/04/2021 15:32

I've barely seen the 13 year old for a week now. She still appears for meals so definitely still lives here.

OnwardsAndSideways1 · 09/04/2021 15:37

It seems like a sleepy type of day today, I've been off this week and can't be bothered to do anything. Children scattered about the house, lovely way to start the weekend.

TangoWhiskyAlphaTango · 09/04/2021 16:36

This is the best part of older teens Grin

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 09/04/2021 16:40

Rarely see mine outside of food and transport times. I can hear them chatting online to people who are much more interesting than me Grin

lucysmam · 09/04/2021 17:24

PastMyBest dd1 often pops down to tell me what her Minecrafting friends (and the streamers she watches) are up to. By often, I mean almost hourly 🙄

Onwards I agree, it's been a bare minimum kind of day here today. They've happily done their thing, so I've done mine & am just thinking about feeding us now.
