PLEASE HELP ME - husband snoring zzz

My husband is a terrible snorer. He didn't used to snore but started maybe a couple of years ago. He started sleeping in the spare room as a result, but now I can even hear him from the spare room (though it's directly below my room)! I use ear plugs when it's unbearable, but I'd prefer not to as I want to be able to hear my baby if she cries next door.

He has tried all sorts - nose strips, spray, sleeping on his side. He is mid 30s, not overweight, doesn't smoke or drink. He's seeing a sleep consultant via the NHS, but we're not hopeful that'll help, so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

PLEASE HELP 😭

Poke him and send him to the sofa.
I'm awake for the same reason and am getting cross with the noisy git.

My dh snores but I can't hear a thing. Earplugs are your friend.

crispinglovershighkick · 09/04/2021 01:33

Sleeping on a foam wedge helps my dh.
Does he have hay fever or reflux? They can make it worse. Does he gasp in his sleep? He might benefit from a CPAP. So there are ways to address/improve it.
If you don't want to use two ear plugs try one, that helps (in the ear that isn't on your pillow) but doesn't stop you hearing altogether. And the wax plugs are great, much better than foam for blocking noise.
You have all my sympathy, it's awful

He's in the spare room. I went down half an hour ago to poke but he's resumed.

Thank you crisping, I'll look up foam wedge and CPAP. And hay fever medicine!

White noise for you, pink and yellow ear plugs Amazon.

Sympathy, DP snoring next to me and no spare room.

I should add I have wax ear plugs. As mentioned in OP I would rather not use them as I want to be able to hear baby next door.

I wear ear plugs every night but can still hear my oh snoring 😖 So frustrating, especially if we have a rare night of the toddler sleeping through!

You have a spare room you can send your snoring DH to?!
That's it, jealous lol
