I am absolutely fuming at Walkers (lighthearted)

WTF do they have to mess with flavours?

My guilty pleasure is salt and vinegar crisps

I was happily munching when I noticed that they tasted different almost sweet

They’ve only gone and added sugar

Why?!!!! Anyone want to join me in a protest?

God knows if they’ve done it to other flavours

Prawn cocktail always had sugar but salt and vinegar??? It totally negates the vinegariness!

Angry

Someone at Walkers HQ better explain and fast!!!!

Rant not over!!

There is a shop near me called Farm Foods... it's mostly frozen stuff but they do sell Golden Wonder crisps.... Spring onion flavour are lush, smokey bacon and salt n vinegar, which are really strong!

IHaveBrilloHair · 06/04/2021 13:55

Why can you not get spring onion crisps anymore?
I loved those.

IHaveBrilloHair · 06/04/2021 13:56

Omg mad cross post there

Seabrooks straight cut are only in ready salted and cheese and onion according to their website.

Sirzy · 06/04/2021 13:58

Shit. These are one of the few foods ds eats. He can taste sugar in anything and hates it. He really can’t afford to lose his crisps!

@Astridium

I don’t like crinkle crisps so no Seabrooks for me

Seabrooks do straight cut crisps too, I bought some by accident the other week. Wish they were stocked more places, as they're gluten free when many others aren't.

They don’t do straight cut s&v 😭

My local Londis also do Green onion flavour Lays crisp..... yum

DancesWithDaffodils · 06/04/2021 16:24

When do you think they changed the flavour? I've got an old packet here - they went out of date last month, so I'm guessing were bought last summer - and mine have sugar in them.

Walkers normally have a 3 - 4 month expiry date from when you buy them
