This is not a thread for any scaremongering. Just want to compare how others were feeling.

Had mine yesterday. Didn’t feel a thing, until within the hour I knew id had a jab in my arm. Nothing major.

But come bedtime i was shivering, achy, tired and went to bed with 2 pairs of socks, pj pants, hoodie, dressing gown and a hot water bottle and 2 paracetamol as they suggested if i got unwell 😂 couldn’t sleep, got out of bed and settled on the sofa to no avail.

Im still cold and achy in bed with a hot water bottle 😔

Im 46 and fit and healthy and just puzzled as to why I've reacted where as my dad is 74 and sailed through it.

If you got unwell how long were you?

I had my AZ jab on a Friday lunch time. By 7pm I was incredibly tired and spent the next two days in bed with a thumping head and everything aching. Even my fingers hurt. By Monday I felt absolutely fine, although my arm was hot and swollen for a week or so. I’m very glad I had it done and I’m looking forward to my second dose.

I had the AZ vaccine on Wednesday. The only side effect was a sore arm the day after around the injection site when it was pressed.

GintyMcGinty · 04/04/2021 16:02

I had no side affects at all.

I had the AZ two weeks ago and the only side effect was a slightly stiff arm. Same for DH.

My DDad is in his 80s and has had both his Pfizer jabs, and he didn't have any side effects either.

HelplessProcrastinator · 04/04/2021 17:42

I had the Janssen one as part of a clinical trial. No reaction at all, not even a sore arm, I usual get very sore after a flu jab. I was convinced I’d had placebo. I heard a Dr on the radio saying older people seem to have much less of a reaction, immune systems not reacting as strongly to the vaccine probably.

Had the Pfizer. Fine after the first dose apart from a very sore arm. Second dose started to feel odd twelve hours or so later, didn’t sleep all that night, felt hot and restless and then felt out of sorts as though I was coming down with something for the rest of the day. Next day was completely fine.

Fine, no symptoms had the AZ.., aged 42

Monkeytapper · 04/04/2021 17:47

Meant no side effects!

A day after the AZ vaccine, I had a sore arm, aches and chills. It lasted around 48 hours.

TurnStone · 04/04/2021 18:37

Had AZ. The site of the vaccination itched a teeny tiny bit occasionally over the next few days, no other effects. But over many years I haven't experienced side effects from any prescribed or other medications. Must be one of the lucky ones 🍀🤞🏼

Thanks all for taking the time to reply. Its really interesting to read how we are all so different reacting to the jav.

Im still hot one moment, then my coat is back on. Poor DH doesn’t know how to deal with me opening the doors one minute then standing by the fire the next😂.

Really hope to be able to go for a walk tomorrow 🤞🏻

Absolutely fine. My arm hurt if I prodded it, so I didn’t.
