The last 20 minutes this sudden very strong cramping came on out of nowhere and it hurts really bad it would be the same to a period. Pain doesn’t seem to be going away it’s very strong it’s not helping or easing when I change position anyone else ever had this or know what it could be??

2 out of 3 of my labours were like that. The contractions were so intense and on top of each other and that made them super fast. First was 1 hour ten since it started and second 45 mins. Get calling the hospital!

MissBPotter · 03/04/2021 00:39

Is your partner with you? Definitely call and get assessed, it could be labour.

Lou898 · 03/04/2021 00:46

Could be Braxton Hicks but could be start of labour. Are the pains constant or coming in waves? If in waves time the break in between, then call the labour ward for advice, that’s what they are there for. They’ll tell you what you need to do.

Have you phoned maternity? It could well be labour

Horsemad · 03/04/2021 01:09

OP, I don't want to worry you but I had pains like that at 34 weeks in my last pregnancy. Went to hospital & gave birth 6mins after arriving!

If you haven't already, please call the Labour Ward. Now.

Kerry00 · 03/04/2021 02:07

@raincamepouringdown

Call 111 for advice
This is what maternity triage is for
Rememberallball · 03/04/2021 06:15

How are you this morning @Kerry00?
Was reading this in the night when I couldn’t sleep and have been thinking of you and how, whenever a woman rings maternity triage in pain and possible labour, they’re advised to tAke a couple of paracetamol and see if the pain goes away!!
