For the last few months I have felt unwell, I have good days and bad days but it's becoming more of a pattern and I'm beginning to think that there is something more to this and would like to hear your opinions.

After eating I feel really tired and 9/10 I'll have a nap but sometimes the nap can turn into hours of sleep and I'll wake up at 8/9pm.

After eating about 5 or so hours later I begin to feel sick and without warning I'll throw up, I've been caught out so many times that I've just had to go in bowls or the kitchen sink.

Every time I'm sick the food that I've eaten looks undigested, really thick and I can make out what it is even so many hours after eating it.

I feel ok after being sick but this is happening more and more regularly and I'm wondering whether I need to get it checked out?

I have a fear of going to the GP so will leave things until the last minute but this is stopping me from living a 'normal' life now.

With this going on for months, the only safe advice anyone here can give you, is to speak to your GP.

The only thing it could be that you could manage yourself could be a gluten intolerance (or coeliac). But in order to establish whether this is the case you need a test and you need it before you cut anything out of your diet.

Because of Covid, if you contact your surgery, the process will start with a phone consultation anyway so that means you won't have to immediately actually physically attend any appointment.

Please don't just leave this for another few weeks OP. Time to get medical advice.

You need to contact your GP as something isn’t right. Most GP’s aren’t seeing patients face to face and it’s on the phone instead so will this make you feel more comfortable?

Perhaps keep a record of what you’ve eaten and when you’ve been sick, and when/how long you’ve slept, so that the GP can consider if there is a pattern forming?

I meant to say, 'The only thing I can think of...'

That sounds like possible gastroparesis.

Look it up and take a print out to the GP just in case.

Please pursue this, don't get fobbed off, push for an MRI. Push push push.

It’s affecting your life, please do go to the dr.

In the meantime, have you tried smaller, more frequent meals? Might be worth trying.
