According to my DD, 17. All her mates are ordering them for the summer. I’m struggling to get my head around this news.

It doesn’t matter if they’re ugly. Sometimes you just want comfort. I’ve noticed you can get them in some really nice colours now.

@Onamissionn

What has happened to fashion... unflattering baggy trousers and crocs

When I was a teenager baggy jeans, cropped tops and huge chunky trainers were in fashion.

Live and let live, people should wear whatever they want. If it makes their parents say 'what are you wearing 😲' then that's a bonus!

Yep, Crocs and jibbitz are what my DD is getting for her 17th birthday - that's what she asked for!

She had a pair of Crocs when she was about 7, she left them in the garden overnight and some fox cubs spent the night using them as chew toys, leaving them unwearable 😄

They were never ever out of fashion

I love mine

I still have some I bought in Disneyland in about 2006 and I live in them in the garden in summer. Rather relishing being cool again 😂

I have a pair of Crocs I wear round the house. They helped immensely with my Plantar Fasciitis, when not much other footwear helped at all. They are very comfy. If you don't like them, don't wear them.

They never went away for me Grin I often wear Crocs at work, they're comfortable and easy to clean. I also have a couple of pairs at home that are my go-tos for wearing around the house and garden, and when camping etc. I sometimes wear them to walk the dogs in the summer if we're going to the river so I can wade in with them. I've never worn them out shopping or anything but they're so useful I'd never be without a pair and don't care if they're 'trendy' or not.

So DD has found the pair she wants and is ordering them with a handful of jibbitz. One of which is a rather beautiful blossom sprig. Am I allowed to include the word beautiful in a thread about crocs? Croc wearing ladies, go forth now in 2021 and bring your crocs out of the garden, pull them from the boot of the car and wear them with pride!!!!

The flip flop ones are so comfortable if you have flat feet. I have 3 pairs and live in them during the summer. I love the fact that you can just wash them if they get grubby. I have had mine for the last 4 years and they are as good as new.

Costco have the ‘sliders’ in at the moment for about £18. (I abhor that word I add. Flip flops was perfectly sufficient)
I have a pair of wedge heeled croc sandals which are stupidly comfortable as well.

Dds go to school shoe was the croc Alice back in the day. They were comfy and bomb proof.

I've just ordered a pair for work from Amazon. One of the "work" type without the holes on top.

Hope they're not sweaty, they do have side vents at least. Couldn't resist the allure of comfiness.

I have worn crocs (indoors) for around 12 year, great on wooden and ceramic floors!
My DD bought me a new pair recently and she got a bright yellow pair at Christmas (after years of slagging me for wearing them)
My DH bought himself a pair from Aldi... she calls them his aldigators as they are fake crocs!

Everyone i know hates them as they look awful but a foot massage everytime you take a step makes them a winner!

Every dentist I’ve been to over the past 10 years or so seems to wear them. They must be comfy.

I use them like slippers but recently regretted getting some gold coloured ones as the coating has peeled off. Time to replace maybe. My older pair stays in the garage for taking the bins out. They are very comfy and last much longer than furry slippers.

Great for mopping the kitchen and nipping in and out.

My arches are too high to wear them for too long and I get pressure point in the uop of ny arch.
