I have £20 burning a hole in my pocket. I don't need anything crafty but could be persuaded to try something new.

I fancy the books that the A Discovery of Witches series maybe (I think that's what it's called -only seen one & it looked to be up my street).

I've been eyeing up several crochet pattern books but not sure I'll use them.

What small ish treat would you buy yourself? Maybe something will inspire me!

Book and a nice pair of socks.

@lucysmam

I've had two yarn orders recently Turquoise, and have three projects on the go so was going to wait a while before ordering any more.

I do like nice soaps though! Any in particular you'd recommend?

I keep trying different ones here and there. Like Neste Danti, I can get thesee from Amazon, and I've also found them in TKMax (when we're allowed to shop).

Lately, I've got a rose scented one on an Amazon subscription.

At some point, I fancy trying to make my own.

I understand about the projects, I have two on the go right now.

The new colour illustrated edition of Philip Pullmans Northern Lights and some M&S fresh orange juice ice lollies.

DameDoom · 30/03/2021 22:05

Posh bread and cheese.

IliveonCoffee · 30/03/2021 23:08

I've recently had a similar amount!

I bought a lamy fountain pen, which £20 is moreover less perfect for, if you like a decent pen.

I had a little more, so I also bought a fancy food journal...because the key to solving all of my life problems is stationery.

I have a little collection of 'saved for later' in my Amazon basket, I never quite justify buying. I don't need them but I feel like they could be super helpful when I eventually cave in.

Ideas include a recipe book holder, a wooden desk tidy (with a little drawer, shelves and magazine holder bit).

Things like a yarn bowl, or wireless headphones ...we both have a Aukey set which are really good and were about £20. I'm also a mild desk decorator, so nice (or snarky) coasters, post it note dispensers, a bud vase (with fake or real flowers), photo frame or a desk mascot.

Unreasonabubble · 30/03/2021 23:12

A cheap bottle of wine (£5), a new book (£5) and a DVD (£7-10) and a very large sofa to lie out on an enjoy my purchases! Enjoy yourself Grin

Some m&s stem ginger cookies, a paperback and a bounty Easter egg

MuchTooTired · 30/03/2021 23:16

I’d buy one of the paintings in my ebay watchlist that I really love but just haven’t bought yet. Or a houseplant or a bunch of lovely big flowers.

Letseatgrandma · 30/03/2021 23:19

A lovely plant for the garden.

hilariousnamehere · 30/03/2021 23:32

@SpareBib

3 posh ready meals so I can have 3 nights without cooking. I didn't even need to think about it!
I always buy books with spare money but I really love this idea Grin
drspouse · 30/03/2021 23:39

2 hours babysitting and I'll either hide in my sewing cave or sit in a coffee shop with a really good novel.

drspouse · 30/03/2021 23:40

Or some gorgeous earrings or a pedicure.

ThatsNotTheTeaHunty · 30/03/2021 23:49

Make up or go and get my nails done.

Whatwouldnanado · 31/03/2021 00:01

Some snowdrops in the green and strawberry plants.

JessieOh · 31/03/2021 00:41

If you crochet, how about a Furls hook in the size you use most?
I keep looking at them as I have Christmas money, but I love my tulip etimo hooks and wonder if I really need to.
But one day, I know I will. Wink

EggyPegg · 31/03/2021 00:48

Either save it towards the new ski helmet I've got my eye on.

Or

Some bamboo socks.

Probably the socks.

@lizardosis what earrings would you buy? Or where from? I always tend to wear the same pair.
