present for a 4 year old?

My neighbours have a daughter who turns 4 in a couple of weeks. I'd like to buy her a present but don't know what might be a good idea. Can anyone recommend a toy or game around the £10 -£15 mark that I can easily buy online?

There are lots of crafty kits you can get quite cheap. Things like jewelry making and such. Do you know what she likes doing?

My Little Pony

Sylvanian Families

Lego Friends

Still being played with years later in our house.

Not craft kits - much too taxing if you’re the parent, and all that glue and glitter is such an environmental disaster

Oh God please no. These kits always need at least 80% parental input and end up being quite boring for 4yos.

Felt tips and Colouring books and playmobil animals are my 4 year olds favourite things.

I'd recommend 2x Usbourne Sticker Books (loads of different ones to choose from and once complete make a storybook)? Then a small box of malteasers.

Also agree about the craft kits. I die inside when my DC's receive them.

Do they have a garden? A space hopper was a hit with my dc when she was 4.

Yes to sticker books. I have a 3.5 year old and an ideal present here would be some stickers and a story book (Alfie, Harry and the Dinosaurs, Dr Seuss, Mog are all good series for this age).

Thanks for all the suggestions. It's a long time since my dc were that small but I remember the pain of craft kits! I do remember ds1 was obsessed with Hamma beads and did them quite independently until the ironing bit, but he may have been slightly older.

The space hopper idea is good. I don't know if she's got one and can't see into her garden from ours. She's a very active little girl, always on her bike or scooter. I might buy one and if she's already got one I can exchange it

My dd is just 4 and absolutely loves Hama beads and will do them independently. But also loves sylvanians etc. Sticker books that are just stickers, not endless activities like word searches and stuff that needs reading are a good shout.

Lego is always brilliant.

Orchard toys do a range of puzzles/games that are excellent and good value

Or a small happy land / sylvanian family set

My little boy is about to turn 4. Garden stuff is good. We've got him one of those Velcro catching sets. He also loves puzzles and is just getting into games, loves Pop Up Pirates and Splat. We have got him connect 4 and Buckaroo for his birthday.

Oh yes, pop up pirates - great game.
