Fed up of greasy kitchen. Will an air fryer help?

I have DCs who cook for themselves and they do seem to like a frying pan! The kitchen is getting generally greasy and not just from splatters. It seems to be from the air. Would an air fryer help?

I have allegedly adult DC they love the air fryer and I love that it has a timer so they aren't burning everything.
Behind where it sits near the tiles it does vent a bit of grease but it's targeted iykwim.
Only downside is the beeping. Ours is loud and keeps beeping until it's opened.

Aaargh another nagging appliance! 😆
Worth it though.
@PigletJohn I'm not sure if it's installed as a recirulator but it blows the hot air out of a hole in the wall directly behind the hood. On the outside is a vent cover with louvre flaps and when it's switched on, the air blows the flaps horizontal iyswim.

That sounds correct.

This sounds a bit weird OP - are you sure your extractor fan is working?? I think it might be worth getting someone to check it isn't just making a noise but not working effectively - you really shouldn't have grease all over your kitchen because a few teens are frying stuff.

You can buy a simple 'Splatter Guard'. So cheap and efficient. I love my air fryer. I hardly use the oven now.
