What to have at Easter if you don't eat lamb?

We aren't vegetarian, but between us don't eat lamb, beef or pork.

Want to try and make Easter special as normally spend it on holiday!

What's your menu?

Zig4zag · 21/03/2021 18:44

Probably Chinese takeaway

Howshouldibehave · 21/03/2021 18:44

We have never had lamb at Easter-is that a thing?

Chicken or fish?

Hoppythehippo · 21/03/2021 18:44

Just a normal Sunday roast dinner here, almost always a chicken. If I was going to make an effort I’d probably make a fancy cake or dessert. Realistically though pudding will be chocolate eggs.

Seeline · 21/03/2021 18:45

Chicken, turkey or duck?
Gammon, as long as you eat pork products.
Whole salmon?

Chicchicchicchiclana · 21/03/2021 18:45

Have whatever you'd normally have for a special occasion.

tigerbread20 · 21/03/2021 18:46

Mum always wanted turkey at Easter, it's my least favourite meat so I just had the trimmings Grin

SoWhyNot · 21/03/2021 18:47

A lot of chocolate.

RubyFakeLips · 21/03/2021 18:48

I didn't realise lamb was a thing, but everywhere I look for some recipe inspiration the main seems to be lamb which I loathe!

Have done a roast most Sundays in lockdown, was hoping for something a bit more elaborate.

Fish

2021Vision · 21/03/2021 18:51

We're having turkey with all the trimmings, we all LOVE it!

karmakameleon · 21/03/2021 18:52

I would do a whole side of salmon. I roasted one in butter and herbs recently. Was simple and delicious.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 21/03/2021 18:54

we often have turkey....but go lighter with the veg, so it's not a re run of Christmas Lunch

so little new potatoes roasted with lemon/thyme, peas, maybe broccoli or cauliflower, or french beans?

dementedpixie · 21/03/2021 18:56

Lasagne?
Have whatever you would normally treat yourself with

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 21/03/2021 19:02

Kouliabac.

PickAChew · 21/03/2021 19:05

We'll probably have a free range chicken or Guinea fowl, if we can get it. I think, like Christmas, you distinguish it from a normal roast by going to town a bit with the sides.

ladywithnomanors · 21/03/2021 19:07

Pork butt

Lozza70 · 21/03/2021 19:08

Whole salmon, also an Easter tradition in the aUK

BluntlySpoken · 21/03/2021 19:25

Normal roast here or if sunny a BBQ

36degrees · 21/03/2021 19:26

Rabbit

Brokenrecord3006 · 21/03/2021 19:28

We tend to have our usual sunday roast with chicken or order a takeaway. I've never thought to make a special Easter meal though.
