Smells, do they affect you?

I bought a lovely “fresh linen” air fragrance type thing, smelled lovely in the shop.
It smells bloody awful in my house, it’s making me feel a bit nauseous and headachy.
Scented candles do the same to me, especially those really expensive ones.
I can’t go into perfume shops they do the same to me also anyone wearing strong perfumes make me the same.

Anyone else bloody weird like me?

I know what you mean. I have a few Molton Brown reed diffusers because they give an occasional waft rather than a continual full on headache like scented candles do.

Yes, instant headache and nausea with any air freshers etc especially lavender. Also with some perfumes which can be a bit embarrassing.

Yep me too. I dread when someone presents me with a beautiful (expensive!) Yankee candle!
My SIL gave me a candle that had jewellery in it that you have to burn for around 15 hours to get the jewellery. I have to burn it outside under a shelter as I couldn’t cope with the strong smell. Same problem with laundry soap.

Maybe jn a past life we were sniffer dogs??? 🤣

Also, I had to quit an evening course I was doing as a lady kept going out for a cigarette and then spraying herself with Britney Spears perfume. It made me feel sick and irrationally angry.
