They’re less than 5mm long (they’re not in my house, but a house we're looking at buying)

Google Lens thinks they're cockroaches. They're not great photos though. If you have a clearer one try running it through Google Lens yourself.

I got cockroaches on my first search, but they’re no where big enough (german ones about 10mm). Even if these aren’t fully grown, non are bigger than 2-3 mm (hence the poor photos!). Plus cockroaches have the barb things at the Bach and these are rounded.

They look like a longhorn beetle. Is the house in the south east? If so, Google House Longhorn Beetle and see if it looks like what you've got.

Can't quite make out from the photos, but do they look like this? I keep finding these little buggers in my bathroom sink...

I looked up Australian spider beetle, and I think this is the closest match I have found.

Like similar to bedbugs to me, we rented a house once with bedbugs and the cleaning and hoovering of that place was better than a gym membership! I used to put this stuff everywhere as we had babies at the time; "Diatomaceous Earth Powder"

@PantherPantherus

They are not Duvet Bugs (different species). Duvet Bugs are much larger - about the size of a small cucumber when they tuck their legs in. People mistake them for the lumpy bits at the end of the duvet, but they are in fact just sleeping.
Jesus. I Just pulled my legs right up the bed until I saw who wrote this Smile

I work in museums and see a lot of Australian spider beetles and that's what I thought when I saw your pic. Just having a good clean up, vacuuming with a crevice tool right around your skirtings should keep on top of them. Their natural habitat is birds nests so you may need to sweep chimneys
