The best parenting books

Please can someone recommend the best parenting books or videos or whatever for me to look into?

I have a four year old that is running rings around me. Especially since I've had my second baby 5 months ago. Shes exhausting, she can be violent towards me mainly, she is so defiant, she lies and she is just such hard work. It's so sad, I love her so much, she is so funny and bubbly but I just cant seem to get through to her at all. I repeat myself 10 times a day, stop trying to hurt the baby, please eat your dinner(it takes her over an hour to eat her dinner), please just listen to what I am saying. I say something, she nods, I ask what I have just said and she cant remember.
I just want to be able to get through to her and calm her down. I cant seem to do it. She doesnt like me at all right now either which makes me so upset. I am definitely bad cop while dad is good cop. Shes always been very defiant but recently it's so hard to manage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know you asked for books, which I can't help you with, but, to lift you off unanswered threads....

Does she attend school?
Or Nursery?
What do staff there say ?

@backforgood she attended nursery and is now in school.
Nursery said she had problems sitting down and eating. But no major concerns. At school her teacher assured me she wasnt worried about her. But she described her as 'mischievous' haha. She just leaves the classroom without telling anyone and her teacher once found her scaling the book shelf in the library.. yikes! she isn't nasty or anything. But she just doesnt think at all before she acts. I think its probably all normal 4 year old things and adding a new baby too the mix.. and lockdown!! Its obviously going to take its toll. But I just want to know how to react to her tantrums and back talk. She doesnt seem to respond when I am calm, she just talks over me. When I shout she stops but then it just puts her and me in a bad mood and its tiring. :(
I am getting concerned about her violence towards me. She stamped on me today and I was so upset by it. She seemed to instantly regret it though, she just acted without thinking as usual.

Divas and Dictators by Charlie Taylor. Also agree about How to Talk so Kids will Listen, it's a really practical book

"The Book you wish your parents had read (and your children will be glad that you did)".

By Phillipa Perry (psychotherapist)

Podcast "Motherkind" by Zoe Blaskey - various topics are covered where she brings on people who are specialised in that area.

Thank you for all your help.
I read about all of them on Amazon and went for Divas and Dictators and I might get how to talk to kids after. I will listen to the podcast too! Thanks again x
