Induced 37 weeks and massive piles

OK few things to ask. I'm being induced today due to reduced fetal movement and I'm 37+1 baby is weighing about 5lbs 9oz in scan does this seem ok? Will she need extra care?

Also I have a huge thrombosed pile and I mean HUGE and its bleeding slightly, I cant touch it its so painful and I don't even think I'm cleaning properly after the toilet...tmi I know. I'm just wondering before I go up to he induced is there anything they can do or will do as its so bad? I've given birth before and ill stand by the pain of the pile was worse than pushing my child out so I'm nervous this time round. Its massive, turning a bluey/black colour and slightly bleeding and I don't know what to do. The pain actually makes me feel sick if I stand up or roll over in bed and I'm waiting to go to the induction ward where they will see it so hoping someone says they had one and the midwives helped/gave something, thanks!

Oh poor you OP 😞 my baby was born at 37 weeks on the dot at just over 6lb which I think was average, so 5lb9 sounds a little small but not tiny-tiny. Growth scans can be inaccurate anyway!

As for the piles, do you have Anusol cream? It has a kind of numbing agent which will make it feel a lot better and more comfortable. Also make sure you have a c-shaped pillow to sit on after the birth to take the pressure off your bum. Another tip I had was to put a chamomile teabag and a few drops of lavender oil in the bath which honestly really really helped. Let us know how you get on! Flowers

For your piles, they should at the very least, be able to give you topical anaesthetic gel, if not offer you actual local anaesthetic injections.
Piles are horrible! (I ended up in hospital with them last yesr) you poor thing, so just ask for something to help.
Once you've had the baby then get the piles sorted out - they can be treated, it's just so painful in the meantime.

Youngest was born at 37 weeks and was 5 lb 4oz, she was tiny due to a deformed cord and didn't have an ounce of fat on her. She needed to be popped under the heater in her crib next to me for 12 hrs but was absolutely fine and healthy.
With regard to your piles I'd speak to the midwife immediately as you arrive so they can start helping you and getting everything in place ASAP. They will do everything they can to help I'm sure x

I was induced at 37w and she was 5lb 3oz. Slightly jaundiced but didn't require any extra care. Good luck! Piles are the absolute worst you have my sympathy.

Tillie Hope was born this morning at 5lbs 11oz with a hearty cry to wake up the ward lol. The piles were sore during initial labour but once things ramped up maybe because I was focused elsewhere the pile pain had died down. Pushing her out I did feel alot of pressure around the piles but ignored them and now that she's here they're actually OK but could be distracted by that postpartum pain lol
