Ds nearly 14m has non ige dairy intolerance.
He is incredibly awful when it comes to eating. Any food. He likes baby dishes I'm not keen on giving them but hey it's food!
Hes under paediatrics for his eating and allergy clinic.

Anyway. Yesterday I managed to get him to eat, potato, sweetcorn, broc and carrot and Swede mash. He ate loads of all the items and maybe a table spoon of corn.

Last night he was crying all night only settled upright in dh. He literally didn't go to bed.
Today (tmi) his nappy was full of whole corns 1st thing after his morning bottle.

And since no screaming. He's settled fine tonight even having a cold.

I'm pretty sure this happened before but in can't remember.

I know when he had mushy peas too he was at my dad's and my dad said he was like it. Didn't click. The next day we had peas and he was like it that nignt.
Since we've only gave him a couple a time.

It's so hard to get him to eat at all so it's off putting when I'm scared to give him things

Fwiw. I find it so hard as the others all are amazing eaters and no prob (dd had egg intolerance which seems OK now in baked goods, mayo etc) but now won't even eat an egg.
They all have huge appetite and eat pretty much anything

Sweet corn isn't classed as a food but only
Food safe. If he has a sensitive tummy it likely upset it. Our bodies can't digest it

I'm on a number of allergy groups as I have DC with allergies and corn is one of the highest triggers for fpies

Peas are a legume and related to soya which is a top allergen and pretty common

Or it could be it was just too much to proces rather than an allergy.

I'd probably keep a food diary and reduce portions of these foods but still give them and see if you spot a pattern.

Sweetcorn goes straight through me. Always has.

If you don't bite a piece of sweetcorn, it's fibrous enough that it isn't broken down by the digestive system and passes through whole. I always knew when DS had sweetcorn at nursery... a delight in washable nappies.

I've not heard of an intolerance to sweetcorn in particular, but it could be uncomfortable having a lot of whole sweetcorn passing through the digestive system.

He's not got a soya allergy as he's on soya formula (still has formula for the vitamins as he literally eats half a dinner. About 5 spoons of cereal and a few snacks. Nothing else he eats)
I think ill avoid corn for a bit then.

Should have said. When I say a table spoon it wasn't heaped. So probably 12 corns? That's a big portion for him though tbf

Why is it so hard when they're sensitive
