Sending Easter Eggs in the post

There are some people I would normally give an Easter egg to who don't live near me. A couple of friends and colleagues. I'd spend a few pounds, maybe £5-10, but I'd usually give them to them when I saw them or in the office.

At the moment I'm not going into the office and I'm not seeing people. There are a couple of people I'd still like to give an Easter egg to, probably spending up to a fiver, so it's a token gift really, but having to post them adds to the cost.

Is there are cost effective way to do this or an online shop I can get free delivery at? I don't have Amazon prime anymore but that might have been perfect.

Just wondered whether anyone else Id in the same quandary!

There are lots of “Easter chocolates” available in flat boxes, eg, packs of Easter Chicks, bunnies, etc,. Or you could fill a box with shredded tissue and pop in a mixture of mini-eggs, chocolate bunnies, etc,. We do this when sending an Easter parcel abroad.

Does it have to be Easter Eggy? I have sent cookies from Etsy to folks, for a fiver inc postage.

No I don't think it has to be an Easter egg, it could be cookies or brownies or something like that

You can order them direct from the Cadbury website. I’ve just done this for my friends’ kids. Amazon Easter Egg prices are bonkers!

I've sent flatter/smaller eggs in the post and they got there perfectly

These guys will send slice of cake cards through the post, and they go through the letterbox!

I looked on the Cadbury site and could only see hampers and gift boxes but presumably I'd still need to pay delivery even if the egg is a bit cheaper than Amazon. I'll have another look.

I'm sure it's possible to send an egg in the post, my slight concern is that the cost of giving an egg is potentially doubled due to the postage cost.

I will look up the cake site.

Look up letterbox easter gifts on Etsy - they do boxes of little chocolate eggs, bunnies etc, under £10 and fit through letterbox.
