Greek Island, beautiful, safe beaches,no large block of flat on beach which one?

Please.. I've never explored the Greek island, we like South of France, nice etc Antibes.. characteful beaches.. safe water for children, also snorkeling, nice restaurant on sea.. people milling around at night like in Spain.. no package holiday places we can't afford And books pie own ab

Kefalonia, no high rises it is stunning. Not sure why the sea being too salty is an issue for little ones?

Cyclades for island hopping. I like Sifnos and Serifos - quiet, with mainly Greek tourists. Both have stunning beaches and lovely little towns with some nice bars/restaurants. Great walking routes too.

Off the top of my head, look up Psili Amos beach in Serifos (an example, there are loads) Serifios Chora, Kamares and Kastro towns on Sifnos... Milos also looks great. The beaches are mainly coves rather than broad stretches of sand, soft sand and gently shelved which is nice for kids.

The Sporades are nice too, but Skiathos is a bit more touristy, if that matters to you. Skopelos has mainly pebble beaches, but is very green.
