Boring - but can anyone recommend baking trays that last more than 6 months

As the title says, every non stick baking tray I’ve bought peels after 6 months. I don’t even put them through the dishwasher. I just want some that will last a few years at least. I don’t mind paying a bit more if I know they will last. Any recommendations?

Heavyweight ones from TK Maxx. They're usually made in Germany or Italy. Just thrown last ones out and they'd lasted over 4 years.

The Denby ones are really good. I buy them with tesco vouchers x 3 the value so good value if you have a clubcard.

Scoville neverstick. Quite cheap from Asda, Argos, Dunelm or direct. We have 2 of the roasters and a cooking pot. Feel really nice quality, very non stick, and not expensive.

The cooking pot is used a couple of times a week and is washed in the dishwasher and is still good after 2/3 years.

I generally soak and wash by hand the roasters and they're good too, very easy to clean, I've had more expensive non stick stuff that's nothing of the sort and needs a lot of scrubbing to clean up after a roast for example. I'm done with anything that high maintenance.

Scoville or Pyrex - both really good and go in dishwasher too

are the scoville ones good on induction? some pans say they do induction hobs but actually barely work on induction.

We love our Eaziglide cookware - we have a huge range and they have all lasted really well

Zenka - a German brand. They cost a bit more but are so much more robust than cheaper ones.

I switched to the black enamelled baking trays, I have had mine for years, after getting fed up with constantly replacing the flimsy grey type ones that sheds coating.

TitusPullo · 09/03/2021 09:38

Lots of responses, thank you everyone! My last ones were heavy ones from TKMaxx, can’t remember the brand unfortunately. I thought I was on to a winner but they shedded quicker than IKEA. I’ll have a look at some of the brands mentioned.

I like the heavy gauge black ones from sainsburys 👌

MuddleMoo · 09/03/2021 09:48

Tesco cheap ones are good

Mermaid ones. You can't put them in the dishwasher, but if you're already used to that, it shouldn't be an issue. I got mine after reading a recommendation from Delia Smith a very long time ago. I think mine are nearly 15 years old, now. I clean them "properly" - with chemicals - every couple of years, then re-season and carry on.

I’ve had some of these for about 5 years and they are still going strong.

Yes! My Mum bought DD some of these for University, I was really impressed with the quality.

Le creuset ones - they do need hand washing but I've had them a few years now and no sign of wear

TitusPullo · 09/03/2021 10:19

I looked at Le Cruset @CCSS15 and all the reviews said they peeled which surprised me as I have other things from them which have lasted forever. Even some pans from my grandmother which must be at least 50 years old.

I've had one like this for about 25 years www.lakeland.co.uk/19652/Hard-Anodised-Oven-Tray-43-x-31cm

ChelseaCat · 09/03/2021 11:01

I think the old Le Cruset are very good but the more modern ones are disappointing

Orchidflower1 · 09/03/2021 11:05

John Lewis own brand are very good and reasonable cost wise.
