What’s this on DD’s finger? (Pic included)

Pharmacist says not a wart or a cyst, he thinks she’s been bit by something.

It started off looking like a shiny small spot and has gradually grown. Its now got a yellowish type of skin over it, the camera isn’t picking it up but it’s also got what looks like little black pinpricks over the top of it. Red around the outside and DD says it’s itchy (and hurts if she touches it/bangs it). It gets a white film over the top of it when she has it in water but the skin doesn’t appear to come off, no fluid etc is leaking from it either.

I’m not confident it’s a bite, but she’s been given bite and sting cream by the pharmacist. We did call the doctor but were refused an appointment and told to see pharmacist as it was likely a wart.

DD would just really like to know what it is, she’s convinced her finger is going to fall off and no amount of telling her it won’t has her convinced Grin

If it is a wart cut a bit of banana skin, put in inside down on the wart. Cover the whole with Elastoplast and try and keep that in place for 48 hours or more. When you take it off you will think “well that was a waste of time” but about a week later you will realise it has gone/is disappearing.

Definitely looks like a wart to me.

@BuddhaAtSea none anywhere else, just on her finger.

Consensus seems to be either a wart or verruca though, I’ll go back to the pharmacy tomorrow!
