Yoghurt with no bits?

margaritasbythesea · 08/03/2021 11:15

Our two go to brands for yoghurt with no bits have started putting bits. Are there any you know of without? It's about the only dairy dd will eat but she will not eat bits!

SKi used to do a smooth variety - 4 pack of 2 strawberry/2 raspberry.

What about some of the ones in pouches - do they have bits?

Wiglio · 08/03/2021 11:29

Asda French set yoghurts don’t have any bits

Yeo Valley plain yoghurt is very nice I find.

Fage plain greek 5% - so so good.

UhtredRagnarson · 08/03/2021 11:35

Ski smooth.

ViperAtTheGatesOfDawn · 08/03/2021 11:35

Yeo Valley lemon curd and their strawberry are bit-free.

MeadowHay · 08/03/2021 11:37

Activia do some without bits. Most children's yogurts are smooth too - Petit Filous, Munch Bunch, supermarket own brands etc.

peak2021 · 08/03/2021 11:54

I would not give Activia to anyone without warning. Mum only ever ate one once!!!!

Maria1982 · 08/03/2021 11:57

Yeo valley (they do large pots of plain and Greek, but also individual pots of plain. Very nice). M&S own brand.

changingnames786 · 08/03/2021 11:58

Ski smooth. Try to find smooth, full fat, yoghurt in individual cartons in a multipack, now that's a bloody challenge!

What do you need to warn someone about Activia?

Agree. It is my go to. Tesco used to do a good proper Greek yogurt, not “Greek style” then for some reason my local T stopped having it so I switched to Fage.

I also had some Abel and Cole yogurt the other day which was like cream it was so smooth and golden. Came in a glass jar too so bonus points for recycling!

Comefromaway · 08/03/2021 13:22

Most fromage frais brands and also Suckies pouches. (Ds won;t eat bits either)

EggysMom · 08/03/2021 13:23

'Corner' yoghurts - and just don't mix in the corner or, if chocolate biscuit pieces, eat them separately Grin

YukoandHiro · 08/03/2021 13:24

Alpro do a range without bits. I know it's not dairy but it's calcium fortified so an acceptable alternative

margaritasbythesea · 08/03/2021 13:25

I daren't get DD started on Abel and Cole! She has expensive enough tastes as it is! Thanks for the recommendations. I shall get some tonight to try out.

What about Petit Filous fromage frais?

ScopeToCreate · 08/03/2021 13:50

I had the same issue with Ds2 so I made my own fruit purees to add to natural Greek yoghurt.

Made a batch, froze it in small pots to defrost then add to yoghurt. Raspberries came free from the back garden. We usually have a massive glut so I cook it and freeze it. Or I add it to yoghurt before freezing, decant into espresso sized disposable cups with lids for mini frozen yoghurt desserts. You can add honey or agave to sweeten.

I also make my own Greek yoghurt in the Instant Pot. Incredibly easy to do. The machine does it all for you, all I do is strain the whey off.

margaritasbythesea · 08/03/2021 15:33

That sounds gorgeous Scope!
