Does anyone not get endorphins from exercise?

I think I used to when I was going to about 3 or 4 yoga classes a week, for example. I felt great because I loved the whole experience. Excellent teachers and beautiful studio. But not now, getting ready for a walk. Yeah I need to go and sometimes it's fine.

However sometimes I feel like I actually get the opposite of endorphins? I get tense and a bit cross and so relieved to get home!

Do you feel a bit shit after exercising? Or is this purely a reflection of how unfit I am now?

I’ve run marathons, still waiting for the endorphins 🤷‍♀️

All you people feeling sick and faint after a run, maybe just slow down a bit? If you are doing the c25k, it's really not about speed, just building up the length of time you can keep going. Once you've finished the program, you can think about increasing speed, but I have to say that's not for me!

Depends on the exercise I do- I often think it’s the whole experience that does it. For example, going out on a day long hike with friends would have me buzzing but walking 5k alone round the local area wouldn’t have any effect on me. Likewise, 30 mins on the exercise wouldn’t get get much going in the way of endorphins but going out with the DC and free wheeling down a big hill would!

Isn't that just what's generally known as "having fun", rather than anything akin to a runner's high or other exercise-induced endorphin rush?
