Everyone knows schools won't actually look like this, don't they?

I'll begin by saying I'm a primary school teacher and am happy schools are opening. My own 2 DC are really excited to be going back. This picture is in The Times today, with an almost identical one in The Sun, apparently.

I'd just like to know if the majority of parents know that this image is about as far from reality as it's possible to be for most schools?

I'm really pleased that my children's classrooms will apparently be 3 times their usual size. They do have some issues with being a bit cramped for some lessons where the class is large, especially as the desks have had to be pushed back to allow for a 2m gap between the teacher and the front child.

The diagram does miss out the magic tape that goes around the teacher's 2m area (magic as it stop coronavirus spreading from teacher to student or vice versa).

Its the same shit that has been peddled since the start of the pandemic.

It is a shame that people are falling for it.

Ah yes, magic tape. It’s like a force field round a desk or down a corridor. Repels all known germs.

We moved all the tables back in last week, ready for the rest of the class coming back. I'm about 10cm away from the nearest child.
