Do colour blindness glasses actually work?

I'm looking at the pilestone glasses that are supposed to let me see colours the way most people do. At £99 it's not a cheap experiment, so I'd love to know if anyone has ever tried them and is it worth buying them?

You can get prescription ones but They’re even more expensive. Ds2 has sunglasses style. We took them to Costa Rica thinking he’d be amazed at all the colour. He was spectacularly underwhelmed. If they were £50 I’d say worth it but they’re not.

Oh my DP has severe colourblindness and only sees shades of grey. I wish something like this would work for him. He can also hardly see at all so I am not sure how it would work even if he could. Would he wear them over his normal glasses? He can't not wear his glasses
I think there was an option to combine them with a prescription lense.

The other issue is that they only really have an effect in bright light hence most people use the sunglasses style. The indoor ones have a coloured lens so look like you’re wearing sunglasses indoors

I'm still undecided. It might be worth a go, especially if I can return them.
