Healthy snacks for a hotel without fridge or kettle?

I'm going to have to quarantine in a foreign hotel for 5 days. All work related nothing remotely holiday like.

I'll be alone, unable to leave the hotel so I'm planning on putting some items in my case to help me out. So far I've got Dairymilk Grin

What can I pack that I don't need a kettle or a fridge for?

Ive asked if the hotel could provide a kettle, they said no but I could take a travel kettle.

No problems taking in dried stuff, no fresh fruit but I can ask the hotel for that.

I'm seeing this as a mini break, a chance to read my books in peace, relax a little and eat my suitcase!

Check what food you’re allowed to bring into the country - there’s no point bringing things that will get confiscated! That said:

Granola bars
Cereal
Oat/soya milk will keep out of the fridge for five days
Any fruit/veg you’re allowed to bring
Crackers
Peanut butter
Cheese like dairy Lea, baby bel or primula
A plastic plate or bowl and some cutlery

@MrsKingfisher I see you mention gin - I can 100% recommend Ginfusions for it - they’re nice aromatic blends to put in, rather than the sweet/sticky ones you get in some places, and the sachets would be super easily packed. This would give me a lot of excitement in the evening. Maybe also pack a nice glass - depending on what type of hotel your quarantining in, they might not have a good gin glass.

(I don’t work for them, just love a great gin!)

I'd use it as a chance to cut back and drop a couple of lb.
Dried apricots
Nuts
Good quality protein bars
Nutrition shakes from the chemist
Porridge pots
Choice of herbal teas
Would need my cafetiere and ground coffee though.

Some truly disgusting and expensive sugar snack suggestions on here. Chocolate had fewer calories than shitty cereal bars and tastes a lot better. Graze boxes are more packaging than food , make your own snack packs for a tenth the price from the supermarket. Chemists sell medicine, not food. No one is going to lose weight shut in a hotel room so might as well eat something as tasty as possible.

I'd definitely take a travel kettle. Then you can take some instant pasta/rice type meals that you just add hot water to.

I would be a bit concerned about the quality of meals being provided at a quarantine hotel that won't provide basics like a kettle or fridge. At least with your own kettle and some pot noodle type meals, you have a back up food (albeit not the most healthy or desirable).

Dolmio microwave pasta pouches can be done by putting them in boiling water until it’s absorbed. That and a stir in sauce that doesn’t need heating would be something more filling

I’m assuming the hotel will feed you three meals a day. In that case I wouldn’t really bother with all the noodle, porridge type suggestions. Nut, crisps, crackers, breadsticks, dried fruit, chocolate, popcorn. Will you have a mini bar?

couscous & tinned veg for a warm 'salad'
like those couscous packets with dried veg & spices.
don't forget salt& pepper.

I guess there's no microwave? if yes then mug cakes.
