Any hairdressers that can advise? I’d like to use hair clippers to cut my husband’s hair as it’s got pretty wild during lockdown, but I really don’t know what I’m doing, and he has curly hair. I was going to get something like this: www.argos.co.uk/product/7996959

The long pics attached here are how it is right now and the short ones how I want it - nothing fancy, just neat!

I thought maybe doing a blade 8 on top, idk 5 on the sides and 2 or 3 on the bottom bit might give a reasonable effect?

Start with the largest guard and then keep reducing the size of the guard till you are happy with the length.

Bumping for the morning crowd. Any specific advice or very simple tutorials? I really don’t want to mess this up.

Just remember that length adds weight and stretches curls so removing not much can make a big difference! If in doubt, take off a little, wash it and leave it a day.

I wrote an answer earlier but it wouldn't post for some reason. I would clipper sides and cut top, this tutorial is ok although make your horse shoe deeper(lower) and also you won't need thinning scissors as his hair doesn't look too thick. You can buy hairdressing scissors for about £10-15 which are acceptable for occasional haircuts.
Looks like your husband's hair isn't that curly when it's shorter so I don't think it will be too hard. Make sure you have good lighting and go longer first and you can always come back to it a few hours later (sometimes it helps to see where you might have gone wrong if you come away and come back to it)
