How much did you pay to have a shower room renovated?

We have a small toilet / shower room that really needs to be renovated - not least because there is rodent damage on one of the shower pipes.

It’s a tiny room but the following will need to be done: new floor; new toilet; new shower tray; shower and shower door; tiling behind the shower; possibly some plastering and a small amount of plaster boarding; installation of an extractor fan; new skirting board and the door frame fixed on one side.

I think that’s it.

Anyway, if you have had similar work done I was wondering how much you paid and which part of the country you live in? We’re in London so I don’t know if that will bump up the price.

Thanks a lot Smile.

We had an en-suite done recently - new shower and tray, shower door, toilet, some tiling, board for the shower walls, new sink, cupboard, and bathroom cabinet with inbuilt light. Also had a very fancy radiator. We had it done through Wickes. We're in the southeast. It was around £8,000. The finish was first rate. We paid about the same through an independent plumber who replaced our family bathroom, took the bath out, replaced it with a very large shower with all the gubbins including electronic shower control. The finish wasn't so great but the plumber did return and fix everything for free. The independent plumber was highly recommended locally. I would say the second job was much larger but cost about the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ours was about 4K for the work and 4K for the bits. It was very well done. So similar to JudgeJudy (who I love as well!).

And we're in London.

Thanks. I was hoping to spend a lot less than that - I think it will be less as the area is tiny and we aren’t replacing the sink which is just outside that room, but the think it will come to more than the £3000 I would like to spend!!

I can economise on the bathroom goods, but I can see how a big and small room often end up coming in at similar prices due to labour costs and the amount of fiddly work involved.
