DD just about to turn 3. I’m trying to think of presents for her that she will actually play with or use. What did your 3 year old get that they got a lot of use out of?

Duplo and playmobil get played with again and again in my house.

3 is a good age to get a good arts and craft art. My DS received a giant one which folded out with an built in easel when he was 3, which he still uses regularly.

Scooter used it loads and brio also very popular.

My twins were just 3 a fortnight ago and got new big boy/big girl chairs for the table, new plate and cutlery sets which they love, some Schleich animals, a Playmobil car each with figures, some chunky markers to replace the last lot they ruined and some books.

One of the most popular presents was a set of the Playmobil figures with a knight and ghost (or "goost" as they call it). Knight and Goost now go everywhere with us, and the Goost is frequently found driving the cars.

For Xmas we also got them a wooden kitchen from Jojo Maman which they play with regularly.

Not necessarily for her third birthday, but my 3 year old (4 next month) has loved her scooter, bike, pony cycle, outdoor wooden wendy house with slide, playdoh, kinetic sand etc this year. She's an artsy/crafty kid and not really into loads of play sets/pretend play. Her 18m old sister is the polar opposite and can potter with the play kitchen for ages. Depends on the type of child your soon to be three year old is really

It was a long time ago so might be a bit out but from memory of that age
Wendy house
Play kitchen
Garden swing & slide set
Happy land house with little people type things
First Keyboard with microphone - BIG MISTAKE😂
Dressing up stuff
She’s 15 now & takes up a lot less space in the house (and a lot more time in the bathroom!)

A doll's house. She wasn't a fan then (August) but loves it now.

@BikeRunSki

I agree dolls house

My daughter has a Le Toy Van one with all the wooden furniture and spends hours playing with this

Well worth the money

Thank you all for the suggestions! She has a much older sister so has a lot of the big things suggested already handed down to her. There are a good few ideas there that she doesn’t have though, so this has been very helpful.

A mellissa and Doug wooden castle that is still played with 3 years later and a toy kitchen was a hit from about 2-5

would definitely give them a slime or sand art bottle kit.
It lets them discover more control and awakens that creative side of them.
