Can anyone recommend a product under £10 please. I am using simple cream with cleansing oil and toner but it doesn't seem to doing molre than a bit of superficial soothing and then 20 minutes later it feels dry again.

Any products you find work?

I've been using Lidl Cien Q10 night cream. It is lovely, face feels softer and smoother in the morning. I use Body Shop Aloe Vera moisturiser with spf in the daytime and that is great, goes on smooth and quickly absorbed.

Thank you.

Would you considered a facial oil in conjunction with a cream? I have dehydrated skin and use a face oil by True. Their rosehip and rosemary one. I also use a moisturiser as well. I think the oil is meant to go on last but i use it then finish with moisturiser and it works so well.
You can get the oil in various places, its about £13 but i really love it.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5

Best I've ever used.

I do use a hydrating oil with the cream already. All Simple brand.

Weleda Skin Food is slightly over your budget but its really good. I think it’s maybe reduced at the moment in Superdrug

alanpartridgefromtheoasthouse · 28/02/2021 09:21

I'd try a serum that you can use under your moisturiser. The Superdrug own brand one with hyaluronic acid in it is exceptionally good value (under £5 I think) and works well.

gobbynorthernbird · 28/02/2021 09:33

Superdrug do an excellent hydrating serum in their cheapy 'simply pure' range, don't think it had the same ingredients as the one a PP referred to, but it works.

I use La Roche Posay as well. I really rate their products. I have dehydrated sensitive skin, I use this one - sorry it is over budget but it does go a long way & as it’s in a pump it doesn’t dry out. Completely soothed skin & not greasy or dry.

Thanks Ladies.

Is your skin dry (lacks oil) or dehydrated (lacks water)? If it's dehydrated there's no point putting richer moisturisers on because your skin needs water, not oil.

I'd recommend layering watery toners to get some hydration into your skin. After cleansing, use a hydrating toner like [[https://www.superdrug.com/Skin/Face-Skin-Care/Cleansers/Face-Toner/Garnier-Natural-Rose-Water-Toner-Sensitive-Skin-200ml/p/731350?singleResultSearchPage=true
Garnier rose water]] (£3.49). Apply a thin layer over your face, then apply a hyaluronic acid serum (The Ordinary do one for about £6 or you can use this Superdrug one for £3.99) wait 30 seconds for it to sink in and apply another thin layer of the rose water toner.

Hyaluronic acid allows water to enter your skin easier so it will drag the water from the toners deep into your skin.

Continue with your moisturising serums and moisturiser over the top to lock the hydration in.

Good luck!

Yes @WhereDoMyBluebirdsFly moisturisers don't add hydration they only seal it in.

I use Hada Labo hyaluronic acid which I think is brilliant (it's about 16 quid but you get absolutely loads) but the Ordinary does a very reasonably priced one too - I don't think you get more for paying more when it comes to HA, it is what it is!

I spray my face with rose water before putting it on (it has to go on damp skin but I think plain water is fine as well) and then seal it in with Weleda Skin Food which is a lovely thick moisturiser but I only use a tiny bit.

BarbaraofKent · 28/02/2021 12:40

Meant to say WhereDoMyBluebirdsFly is right!

I really like products with ceramides in as well as they give you that lovely plumped-up feeling instead of a tight face. The Cerave hydrating cleanser (£9) is fantastic.
