Tell me about Ninja foodie

A friend had been given one and she's trying to convince me to get one. I like the idea of them especially as I can get rid of my slow cooker as it does that.

But. Are they cheaper to run than your oven? Are they really that great or is it like every other kitchen gadget?

I have 2, the round one that pressure cooks, steams, slow cooks/yoghurt maker, sear/saute, air crisp, grill, bake/roast and dehydrated and the other square shape one is the air fryer, dehydrate, roast, bake and has an insert for grilling steaks indoors. I cook daily in the 2nd one and use the the tall round one weekly for batch cooking stews, curry's and it makes an amazing roast chicken. Definitely cheaper to run than my ancient oven that takes an hr to get to temp. Ninja heats in about 3 minutes max and haven't had any cooking disasters apart from a sponge cake but that was user error, lol. I do also own a Ninja food processor/blender and had bullet blender.l which started the Ninja obsession. Love kitchen gadgets and these have all proven themselves to be worth their weight in gold.
Air fried chips are awesome, chicken wings crispy on outside, tender inside. I wouldnt/couldnt be without them. Hope that helps in some way 🙂

I've got the big round one that dehydrates .
I mainly got it instead of a rice cooker as I cook the kinds of rice that are a bit sticky so uk-type vent-as-you-go ones don't work well.

I've loved the sushi rice I've made in it. It's been perfect.

I'm using the dehydrator loads. I've made dog treats out of sliced chicken etc. I've done loads of fruit.

I've made tomato sauce out of a massive glut of tomatoes as well on the slow setting. It was yummy and if I had made it on the hob it would have spat everywhere.

There are FB groups for the ninja foodie and people are truly obsessed, it is like a cult. Some of the food looks amazing though so it’s worth having a look through for inspiration and then help you decide if you would use one.

We have one, DP uses it quite a lot.
