I got one last August (eufy 30c max - but I do think they are probably much of a muchness around that price point).
I do have another hoover (well 3 acually as I got a cordless the year before and still had an old upright corded plus a 20 year old vax cylinder wet & dry which I've never used as a dry only as a carpet washer).
The cordless lives in the utility and gets used for the stairs, the utility (as its small, has a staircase to contain the dog so the robovac can't get to it unaided, and has the dog bed and bowls plus door mat so it's often easier just to take the cordless off the wall and vacuum) and ceiling cobwebs.
The proper vacuum lives under the stairs but only really gers used on the car with the attachments, I think I'm going to keep it in the garage for ease of use.
I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have done a "proper vacuum" since I got the robovac. Actually I can't, I just havent done so. I totally disagree that it doesn't replace doing a proper vacuum yourself.
Mine is set for 4.30am every morning (we have a dog) and does the lounge, study/playroom, hall & dining room.
2/3 times a week I set it off in the kitchen & conservatory.
Once a week I set it off upstairs (3 beds, ensuite & main bathroom - I shut the door to the 4th bedroom, wouldn't inflict ds1's mess on anything).
I would say they work best if you don't have loads of stuff on the floor, I can see that with small children, legs, bits etc it could be a pain.
The only thing on our floors is a few dog toys, which get thrown into a basket at the end of the day, no loose trailing wires, no rugs (carpet in lounge & playroom, LVT throughout the rest of downstairs, carpet throughout upstairs). It can get under all the furniture apart from the playroom sofa which I have blocked off cos it could get half under then got stuck.
I will definitely replace it when the time comes.
