Hi all ...our lawn is very very patchy (4x4m X 2 squares) we have a large dog that doesn't help ....
We are thinking of artificial grass and are happy to pay a but more for good quality...just wondering if anyone has had this done and how it is with the dog and poos etc ...any photos would be good or recommendations

Environmental disaster. Every time you mow it, little pieces of plastic are either going to landfill or onto the compost heap and will take 400 years to degrade away.
Every time you mow it??

Err, it's plastic, it won't grow or need mowing.

Also the cost is prohibitive - we got a quote for doing quite a small area and the price was jaw dropping

I didn’t know that plastic grass needed mowing!

Anyone heard of a dry sense of humour? :)

It is horrible and naff. A patchy lawn is better. Dot some pot plants around with colourful plants in them to detract from the patchiness. Or grow a wildflower meadow. Anything but fake grass.

😂

To be honest a friend once showed me her property development in London which beautiful inside and out until we go to cross the articifial lawn to look at the water feature.

As I negotiated several labrador turds hardening off in the sun I did wonder how the potentially deadly and bacteria and viruses were going to degrade away. Grass is natural enough and rain, sun and wind will freshen it up but, as we now all know, plastic does not have that property.

Not for me.
