If you had to get an outdoor game that an 11, 8, 7 and 4 year old could play together...

...what would it be?

Can't be left outside, must be reasonably easy to carry and store.

I’ve got a foldable badminton badminton set that folds up really small for storage but expands so the nets about 6 feeet high and 20 feet wide.

I have no idea why I wrote badminton twice.

Boules?

Mine have always loved the Decathlon archery set we got - smalls get to stand closer than talls.

Difficult without knowing more.

I have 13, 10 and 3 year olds.

They will all happily chase each other around with nerf guns or, in nice weather, water pistols. 13 year old and 3 year old enjoy and engage in equal amounts!

Scarby9 · 25/02/2021 10:27

I second Molkky.

Treasure hunt -- but label the items to individuals, make the items for the 4yr old easier to find, and the 11 yr olds harder to find

There are 2 11 year olds (one is very non-sporty), one 8, one 7 and two 4 year olds. The garden is a narrow patch of open grass alongside the house, there is nowhere to hide stuff. It's nice weather, but totally in the shade so too cold for water at the moment.

My 3 boys, 12, 7 and 5 love dodgeball. The balls are not cheap but well worth the money as it doesn't hurt when the 12 year old hits you with one!

BonnyandPoppy · 25/02/2021 10:47

With your update I’d say bowles

Not technically an outdoor game, but Ultradash is a game that can be played indoors or out and is relatively small - just a handset the size of a microphone and 5 small plastic bases. You have to slot the handset into the different coloured bases in the order that the coloured lights flash on the handset. The handset times how fast you complete it so you can compete against each other. My kids like to play in teams and hide the bases round the garden so it is not just about who is fastest, but also who is good at hiding/ finding. You can then get a reasonably even spread of ages across the two teams.

Sorry if this sounds like nonsense if you can’t imagine the game!
