Trampoline under a tree

My children would love a trampoline and my husband is quite set on them having one. However, the ideal place in the garden (so it’s not next to our house or a neighbours house) is under a blossom tree. Is that a ridiculous idea? My husband thinks it’s fine. Just a case of sweeping blossom off occasionally?

Ours is under a tree, the only problem is sometimes it gets covered in bird poo, otherwise it's just a case of sweeping leaves off it.

What is the clearance from the top of the net? My dd can clear the net and she is titchy.

If there are overhanging branches close to the net There is no way I would put it there.
Is is a cherry blossom? They are not generally very tall are they?

You could get a sunken trampoline to give you more clearance.

Ours was under a tree. The kids loved the trampoline, but were aware that it was their job to sweep it free of leaves and twigs - I told them that twigs could tear it, so they took it seriously. Wrapped up a dustpan and soft brush as part of their Christmas present to go with it Smile

Bird poo would be the major disadvantage I think. I would consider keeping a tarp over the top when it's not in use since bird flu is present in the wild bird population at the minute. It's probably not a huge risk but my DS's end up rolling all over the trampoline with their faces close to the mat and it'll save you washing it off whenever your DC want to use it.

Bird poo. Leaves will blow in wherever it is but dried on bird poo is not pleasant to remove.

It is a cherry blossom tree (I think) it’s a new house to us so not 100% sure. we were thinking we would cut a few of the lower branches off. How much clearance is needed above the net do you think?
A sunken one would be great but they’re so much more money and then need someone to do it because of drainage?

If there are no fruit falling off the tree you should be fine. We had to move ours only for this reason!
