Care worker training. Anybody familiar?

A relative is doing some online training for a current care worker role with an organisation called Care Skilled. You cannot print the module certificates yourself, but can buy them from the company hmm The job hasn't been a great success in terms of management, so I don't imagine it will be long term, with that company, but there is a question mark over whether it's actually worth getting the certificates, or as has been suggested, a new care organisation will simply make the relative do the training again. Any advice greatfully received. I have posted this previously under Work, but got no response.

It really depends what the certificates are

If it is an NVQ or other nationally recognised course then the certificate is transferable. If it is a certificate purely to say they have completed a course with x training company it is not.

It looks like the company do deliver accredited training but the specific course may or may not be.

That's interesting Nanny, thanks for replying. Not NVQ no. My thinking was that if the training is remotely useful, it would be a shame not to take advantage of it, as it will be too late once current employer has been left. So no care home would be interested in non NVQ based training then.

If the training is free I would definitely take it.

Care homes should be interested and it would give a person extra 'brownie points'.

It shows the new company that there is interest in doing training and any extra knowledge is definitely worth having. Good to put on a CV and/or talk about at interview.

It would depend on the cost of the certificate for me. Alternatively a screenshot of the 'You have passed, please pay x for your certificate'.

The most valuable would be level 2 maths and English and the Care Certificate.

Yes, those were similar to my thoughts, Nanny, though mine were more vague. I think because of long hours and a rubbish company, person has lost motivation somewhat, but it does show willing I think. Certificates are about a fiver each. There are 12 of them, one for each module, but I might have been inclined to cherry pick. No maths or english, but covering subjects such as food hygiene, dementia care, fire safety etc. Thanks.
