Ok. So while everyone is debating the whole back to school en masse issue, I have realised BoJo is missing the biggest problem here. UNKEMPT TEENAGERS!!!! On March 8th teens all across England will emerge from their pits looking bewildered and bedraggled due to hairdressers and other non essentials being closed.
We will be sending our precious cherubs out into the world with mullets, split ends and unmaintained eyebrows.
Won't somebody think of the children! Wink

wait, isnt that how EVERYONE is coming out of lockdown?! I dont have the mullet but god, my eyebrows are a jungle and im not sure ive seen daylight in months now

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 22/02/2021 03:06

It isn't just the hair. The average teenage boy seems to be able to grow rapidly the moment non essential retail closes

How the heck do we sort out new school uniform and shoes in only two weeks Shock

Lofari · 22/02/2021 03:17

Oh yes. My DS has selfishly shot up like a weed during this lockdown.

Oh yes. Mrs PC is getting the clippers out and attacking me tonight.

In fairness, after looking in the mirror, I do look like a demented ferret.

Do you think it will be ok to send the giant 14 year old to school in trousers that look like shorts. I could also cut the front off his shoes so he can wear them hobbit style

Could start a trend 😉

MyOtherProfile · 22/02/2021 04:28

At least it will give us all chance to open a window and fumigate their bedrooms in the day while they're out at school.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 22/02/2021 04:29

In Germany they are opening the hairdressers a week before everything else. The are definitely better at planning things than us🤦‍♀️

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 22/02/2021 04:30

Yes but to open the window you have to negotiate around the stuff on the floor. Should probably wear your covid mask to do it.

I'm pretty sure what's probably growing in our youngests room is the actual cure for covid!

😂😂😂😂

peak2021 · 22/02/2021 07:18

Unkempt teenagers? They have a role model with blonde hair in his 50s!!! Just as long as they don't follow other examples of his behaviour when they get older.

It wasn't just clothing that shrunk mysteriously when non-essential retail shut. Watch batteries died as well.

Lofari · 22/02/2021 07:45

Oh God.....the fumigation of their rooms. I'd forgotten about that Confused hazmat suits!!!

Ha ha ha I deep cleaned my teens room that he moved into 5 years ago... it took 4 hours of hard graph
Wash all walls x3 , removed 3 bags of rubbish, found so many cups plates etc, hoovered 4 times and hot washed the carpet with the carpet cleaner and a whole bottle of dr beckmans stain remover! Looks lovely now 🤣🤣

Slumberdoon · 22/02/2021 08:25

They need barbers and hairdressers in schools. I am not joking. After nearly six months my son looks like a woolly mammoth

Significantown · 22/02/2021 08:28

Eyebrows, though? On teenagers? feels like an old lady that in my day everyone looked after their own eyebrows

ProfessorInkling · 22/02/2021 08:30

Ankle swingers are going to be in this summer.

My DS would rather have scruffy hair anyway. He’s taken to shuffling about the house encased in a giant blanket or with his dressing gown hood up. Wearing a polo shirt is going to feel like black tie.

Lofari · 22/02/2021 08:30

My son is going to look like a smartly dressed hobo for sure.

My teen is going to be like this, short trousers and what looks like a birds nest for hairShock

drspouse · 22/02/2021 08:40

My 9 year old is in school and he is now sporting a Kevin the Teenager fringe. We have suggested a footballer headband, he's not keen (ducks and runs).
The other boys will all come in with a No 2 done by dad but we are not keen on that look.

NoGoodPunsLeft · 22/02/2021 08:45

Were hoping our mobile hairdresser can cut DH's hair in the garden once we're allowed to see people outside, he's dreading going back into the office looking like he currently does.

Luckily DD can just put her hair up and lets DH pluck her eyebrows Grin
