Nonstick sauté pan

I am looking to buy a new sauté pan after the non stick layer has bubbled and peeled. Meant to have a long warranty, but apparently you are meant to use non stick pans at a low temp (who knew. Not me!) so my warranty is invalid.
I have seen a really nice Stellar one, with an anodised coating which looks good, but on the same site is a pan by GreenPan which I am quite drawn to. Any thoughts on either of these, or any you've used which you'd recommend to me? Ideally 28cm dia, useable on gas and induction, dishwasher safe and often safe.

Eaziglide Neverstick 3 - I don't put it in the dishwasher, but I think it's dishwasher safe but it has lasted longer than any other and the only one I'd buy a second time and I've been through them all.

We’ve converted almost every pan to Tefal Ingenio Expertise. The ones that have detachable handles.

I sauté using the 26cm wok shaped pan.

Okay for dishwasher too!

Use a stainless steel one.

I would just use cast iron or carbon steel. Non stick is crap. And you’ll just add to landfill every few years.

My le creuset non stick sauté pan is still going strong 10 years later. I also really like circulon pans

Nemostripes · 19/02/2021 19:32

I have one by ProCook - I use it every day and have done for a couple of years and it's bloody great IMO.

Nemostripes · 19/02/2021 19:37

Meets all your requirements I think

My current pans are from there. I'll have a look at the other names suggested and go from there. Can't quite stretch to Les Creuset though.

I have a circulon infinite saute pan that I've had for 9 years, I use it most days as my main pan and the non stick is still going strong, however they had the exact same pan at work and the non stick was wrecked within 18 months. I use mine on an induction hob and only cook veggie food, at work I was using it on a gas hob and cooking a lot of meat dishes in it, hand washed in both instances.

For the same reason I recently got a new one from John Lewis. It’s 30 cm (which I wanted) though, with a lid and a lifetime guarantee.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 19/02/2021 20:00

Meant to add, John Lewis own brand.

Manyoaks · 19/02/2021 20:26

We bought 2 Le Creuset non stick pans and they have only lasted 6 or so years. They have a life time guarantee but still awaiting a response from Le Creuset, wouldn't but them again

Nemostripes · 19/02/2021 20:39

@longtompot oh bugger, better be more careful with mine then 😬! I do have it on a very high heat though and okay so far crossed fingers

MothershipG · 19/02/2021 20:58

Like @Mydogruns I highly recommend the Eaziglide, they also have a lifetime guarantee although they warn against burning the pan. DH wrecked mine, forgot to turn off the heat under it, I was honest and they still replaced it! So fabulous customer service as well.

I've tried to go through their warranty system but because I said I use a high heat to start the warranty was invalid. It says nowhere on the product pages about not cooking at a high heat, and even says they can go in a hot oven

I’ve ruined pans from non stick 3ply Le Creuset, Circulon, John Lewis and Lakeland - when I took the pan back to John Lewis - the sales person told me my pan was failing to be non stick because I hadn’t cleaned it properly - there was burned food stuck to the surface that needed to be removed with Bio washing powder before the surface could be non stick - she refused to acknowledge that the non stick surface had failed in the first place for the food to be stuck on it! Hey ho - non stick is just a bit crap if you actually use it for cooking - was also told not to heat the pan too hot - I asked how you were supposed to cook a steak - medium heat now apparently. I have a cast iron for nest and I’m thinking I’ll get a carbon steel pan some day - problem is they rust snd need to be looked after - it’s hard enough getting teens to clean up without having awkward pans.
