Will I find going low carb hard?

I haven't got a healthy relationship with certain foods and they are all carbs. Is cutting them out hard and do you miss them and feel hungry? I'm talking about pasta, bread, rice and potatoes not the carbs in other things such as fruit, sauces etc.

I don’t know about you but it’s impossible for me. I prefer to eat them in moderation.

What do you mean about not having a healthy relationship with foods?

If I eat bread especially it leads me to overeat

If you’re cutting out carbs you need to up your fat considerably which means no you will not get hungry.
I actually find it the easiest way to “diet” as I never feel hungry doing low carb and actually lose a lot of my appetite. I’m a very all or nothing person though so find it quite easy to stick to once I’ve decided to do it.

Head over to the low carb boards, there’s a boot camp ongoing now but lots of other threads to find useful information

The only carb I really miss is bread - like you, I overeat bread really easily and then feel bloated so I just avoid having it at all. Pasta, rice and potatoes I’ve always just found tasteless stodge anyway tbh, haven’t eaten pasta or five in years, so don’t miss them, but if you do a good enough job of cooking with a broad range of ingredients and experimenting with flavour combinations you just develop a diet you really enjoy and it doesn’t feel like what’s missing is missing, if that makes any sense - whereas if you just cook the same sorts of meals you usually would have only without the bit you’re trying to avoid, it definitely feels lacking.

I found it quite easy, but I think that’s because I did it quite gradually. Tbh, the thought of eating a potato now makes me feel quite ill.
