If you could go anywhere in the world

Legally, where would you go?
For ultimate relaxation I would go to Thailand- probably Koh Samui. Sunbathe, swim, eat and read. That’s semi-realistic for the future.

In my wildest adventures I would love to go to Afghanistan! See the streets of Kabul, drive through the mountains and visit the mosques of Harat. Pre-covid some ‘edgy’ tour companies offered trips to Afghanistan but I’ve never been brave enough to book it! I’m probably more of a sun lounger kind of girl.
So where would you go?

Start in Stockholm, sleeper train to Malmo, then cross to Copenhagen. Stockholm and Copenhagen are top of my travel list once we can and the sleeper train plus a day in Malmo feels like a far more interesting way to travel between the two than flying!

Would love to return to Rome too, we did 3 days years ago but would like to spend a bit longer to really appreciate everything.

I’d love to do a Trans-Siberian train trip from London to Paris, then all through Central Europe, Moscow, St Petersburg’s, Mongolia, finishing in Beijing. It’d need a good 8 weeks otherwise it’s just not worth it. Maybe I’ll finally get chance when dc are mid teens.

I did the transsiberian the other way round - years ago. It's such a favourite memory!

So many places!
Japan is top of my list.
Canada, New York, Florida, St Petersburg & Moscow. Maybe South America... That's somewhere I've never really considered.

The whole of Scandinavia, Finland and Iceland. I dream of northern places in winter.
Last year had Berlin, Copenhagen and Vienna booked. All cancelled. Sigh.
