Ours has just gone proper sll wooffy watching a wolf chasing an otter. Not entirely sure which one she was rooting for.

Quite wooffy at some distressed looking baby flamingos too.

I’ve had to switch over to the rugby.

Not a dog my cat LOVES a nature doc. David Attenborough is a recent favourite. He will sit on the sofa and watch the entire thing very intently. It’s so cute.

Theimpossiblegirl · 14/02/2021 14:34

My dog loves nature programs. He's been known to look behind the TV when animals move off screen. He's such a cutie.

MaryIsA · 14/02/2021 14:34

Our old family cat used to sit with granny intently watching the horse racing . You’d swear he’d laid a bet.

One does, especially other dogs and one doesn't acknowledge the TV at all!

Whatapalavaa · 14/02/2021 15:09

Yep fascinating by them

Whatapalavaa · 14/02/2021 15:09

fascinated *

ArcherDog · 14/02/2021 15:24

No, Archer takes no notice of TVs at all.

Elieza · 14/02/2021 15:38

My cat used to try and find the animals round the back of the tv. Was always sadly disappointed Grin

There was a documentary about cheetahs that she enjoyed. I kept it on sky for her. Must play it again and see if she’s glued to the screen like before.

She also liked the close ups in snooker Grin

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 14/02/2021 15:42

When I was a child our dog used to be fascinated by Barbara Woodhouse. He'd stand watching the screen and then sit when she told the dog on the screen to sit. Grin

PeterPandemic · 14/02/2021 15:45

Two obsessed cats. They are in love with youtube videos of mice and birds. One will cry until you put it on the telly.

DobbleDobble · 14/02/2021 15:47

All three of my dogs never watched tv.... then we lost our elderly dog in August, the leader of the pack and since then our youngest dog (6) watches tv every evening, especially loves any animal programme like planet earth etc it’s like he does it for comfort or similar.when my teen comes down in the morning , he hugs me, hugs the dogs and then said dog runs to the tv an waits in front of it for my son to turn it on !!!

Happytentoes · 14/02/2021 15:51

I am ashamed to say that Happydog1 reacts positively to Jeremy Clarkson.
David Attenborough, not so much.

idontlikealdi · 14/02/2021 15:52

Ddog loves animal programmes, he actively watches them. He does not like horses though, we have to turn over. Weirdly he likes them in the flesh though.

He also Ioved to watch tennis, well, the ball his head goes right to left following the ball.

DidgeDoolittle · 14/02/2021 15:53

My dog loves watching anything with sheep. One man and his dog keeps her fascinated throughout.

passtheorange · 14/02/2021 15:54

My cats have always loved a nature documentary, particularly ones with birds or small squeaky scurrying things.

They also quite like snooker and show jumping. Confused

Squarepigeon · 14/02/2021 15:56

Yes. She watches the screen and when they disappear she looks behind the tv to see where they’ve gone.

LizBennet · 14/02/2021 15:56

My old dog did, a few times he nearly knocked the TV over by running right at it and bumping his nose into a dog/deer on screen 😂

amusedbush · 14/02/2021 15:57

No, my dog doesn’t seem to see anything on the TV. He also doesn’t bother with mirrors either. I’ve seen videos of dogs barking at their reflections but mine just looks around when I hold him up in front of the mirror.

The only time he has ever reacted was when I was watching something on my laptop and a cat miaowed. He stared at the speaker and did that head tilt thing.

Mine too! It's the only thing he watches. He's currently having to suffer through Drag Race.
peak2021 · 14/02/2021 17:11

Mum's cat in front of Springwatch when birds are on is almost as interesting to watch as the birds!!

Apocalyptichorsewoman · 14/02/2021 17:19

My old jack Russell used to watch telly if there were animals on. We used to include her in the evenings television choices, and put on ' One man and his dog' for her!

She once sat and watched a lassie film beginning to end one Christmas day.

She used to come running to the telly when the theme tune to coronation Street came on, because of that cat on the wall in the opening credits, then once she'd seen the cat, she'd go and lie back down...

fairydustandpixies · 14/02/2021 17:28

Mine went mental when a horse popped up on the local news 🙄

Iheartmysmart · 14/02/2021 17:37

Mine has absolutely no interest in the TV but he is absolutely fascinated by teams calls. My colleagues all say hello to him now and he brings them his favourite teddy to look at.

RIBlue · 14/02/2021 17:39

Mine goes mental at anything carnivorous, especially feline. Even the cartoon cat on the felix advert. He’s very brave, will even take on the werewolves in Twilight for us.
Anything that eats vegetable is fine and he doesn’t bother watching. He is sometimes in the mood to watch horse racing but our house is surrounded by horses so they’re a bit old hat now.

HappyThursdays · 14/02/2021 17:43

Nope, happy is not interested in the tv. He still has not found the Alexa lady though. She's here somewhere but he can't find her
