This house is ridiculously beautiful! Anyone want to lend me £4million?

Someone linked this on Twitter earlier. It's like something out of a Jane Austen novel. And that garden! I reckon I can save £4 million in a couple of decades... Grin

Garden’s too small.

Redcrayons · 13/02/2021 22:59

It looks like the kind of house American films this every Brit lives in.

Wonder why there aren’t so many pictures of inside?

newlabelwriter · 13/02/2021 23:02

The conservatory. Wow. So gorgeous

IdblowJonSnow · 13/02/2021 23:10

Spiders do love thatch!
Love the room with the solitary chaise longue. Smile

LongHotSummerJustPassedMeBy · 13/02/2021 23:13

Isn't that where the Bridgertons live?

PattyPan · 13/02/2021 23:29

Wow talk about a dream home!
Lucy Yeomans used to be editor of Harper’s Bazaar which I imagine didn’t pay too badly. Hopefully any renovations are in character with the property!

Allington · 13/02/2021 23:29

Thatched roof, expensive insurance because of fire risk...

MoveAsideCherry · 13/02/2021 23:35

Op i bet the place is haunted really...lots of random ghosts roaming the grounds!

NetballHoop · 13/02/2021 23:43

It's pretty bit I bet it's liable to flooding. Always buy at the top of the hill.

babbaloushka · 14/02/2021 00:26

That conservatory is to die for

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 14/02/2021 00:32

@Cocolapew

They don't show much of the inside. Outside is stunning though.
Someone else posted a link to it a while ago. I'm sure it had more photos. (Different Agents I think)
WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 14/02/2021 00:34

@Viviennemary

It's quite nice but I've seen nicer.
Is there one single thread that you have not been contrary on ever?
Tayzonday · 14/02/2021 01:11

I am speechless. It’s the most beautiful house I’ve ever seen!

LightDrizzle · 14/02/2021 01:30

That is beautiful. Just lovely.
The accommodation in the big house is a little odd though unless they left out some bedrooms. I’m surprised at the paucity of interior photographs too. I wonder if there have been some strange decorating choices.

Gingerkittykat · 14/02/2021 03:15

Local hunts include the Wilton, Portman, Blackmore and Sparkford Vale, South & West Wilts and Cattistock

What a pity I have missed out on this one, I would have loved so many opportunities to rip foxes apart on my doorstep.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 14/02/2021 06:23

No the outside is better than the inside

AppleKatie · 14/02/2021 06:44

The description of rooms is really odd. There must be loads of bedrooms not mentioned surely? I’d guess from the pictures that there is lots of unusable space that needs total renovation.

4 mil is a lot but actually for ‘the most beautiful house in England’ not THAT much in property times. There will be a hidden catch here.

actiongirl1978 · 14/02/2021 06:45

We live in a thatch.

No more spiders than in any other country house I've lived in.

Many more mice, rats and squirrels pounding up and down the loft and the chimney spaces though 😁

Maireas · 14/02/2021 06:46

I love the overgrown garden and the conservatory. £4m seems a good price, someone's posted details of an ugly semi detached in Willesden which is £1.75m!
Different worlds.

WeMarchOn · 14/02/2021 07:30

I'm not far from there like 10 minutes, stunning area

potatopot · 14/02/2021 14:11

Beautiful. The massive upkeep costs would put me off though even if I could remotely afford it.

Dowser · 14/02/2021 14:16

That is just beautiful
I love Salisbury
I’d move in a heartbeat if I could bring my ten other relatives with us,

Dowser · 14/02/2021 14:17

Have you tried a mouse alarm
Dowser · 14/02/2021 14:20

What do you think the council tax would be
Once you reach the highest band, that must be it surely?
But the heating?
Electric?decorating.
It’s nicer than so many of the wag hiuses

Loushome · 15/02/2021 16:33

Way to close to a narcissistic toxic relative for my liking.
Shame.
