Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm feeling quite chipper this morning. No idea why, but it's nice!

I'm just having my silent cuppa, in the kitchen. The window's open but there's no noise from outside & it's lovely.

I've given myself until 10am to mooch about t'interweb then I'm going to get dressed, tidy the kitchen from last night's curry & wine (for me) and get the washer going. Probably a bit more housework too.

Dd2 has a selection of things she'd like to do this week so we'll see about doing one of them. Probably start growing sugar crystals today, since they'll take the longest I think.

Not sure about dd1; probably more Minecraft and more Minecraft streams on Twitch

Later on, I'll carry on with one of my crochet projects or some more of my book.

Takeaway for tea tonight, I think pizzas since I made curry last night. Maybe more wine for me, and some sweets/cake for all of us for later on when we're all chilled.

We’ve had pancakes for breakfast, my friend has picked my son up so they can have a sleepover, he won’t be home until tomorrow night, that means more than 24 hours child free!

We’re going on a bike ride in a bit with our dog, then we’ll have a nice dog walk before we head home, I’m taking a flask of hot chocolate so that means we’re having a highly illegal picnic.

This afternoon we are going to be baking a carrot cake and trying to complete our new puzzle. Both of these things will ultimately lead to an argument as we’re both really competitive.

Also going to be watching rugby and trying to remain calm when faced with a million rugby based questions.

Tonight we have a posh takeaway being delivered, it’s one you finish yourself so I’m quite looking forward to that.

I've got a day planned to catch up on my work that I have ignored for a few days. It's now gone 11am, I've just had a shower, I'm eating a bacon sandwich and watching greatest hits of the 80s. The work is going extremely well

Sneezing. I have seen no one in person in months, have only been out once to my GP for my vaccination (wearing a mask and slapping on alcohol like it’s going out of fashion) and still managed to catch a cold. FML

Bright and sunny but absolutely freezing here in the NE. Home alone for a couple of weeks as DH travelled south to help care for his sister who has just been discharged from hospital after 6 weeks there with COVID. Lazy start to day, breakfast of crumpets in bed with newspaper and lots of tea. Showered, then did ironing. More tea and newspaper. Meeting friend for a walk this afternoon, may need to find my thermals. Probably a few drinks with dinner tonight then tv, like many people.

I had a bit of lie in whilst sh had dc and then dh brought Me cup of tea in bed.

Popped to the shop for supplies before snow started settling which it has done now. So pretty out.

Lazy morning so far, having my second cup of tea. Going to put washing on now, tidy kitchen and baking this afternoon.

Chilli for dinner and a film later probably. If it is a bit nicer later I'd like to go for a snowy walk with dc but at the moment it's snowing heavily and very grey out.

Should be sleeping, just done 3 night shifts in a row.

Had two cups of coffee and a shower. Now planning to do some laundry.

Fish fingers, chips and beans for dinner tonight as requested by dp. However, we are having a nice steak dinner tm for Valentine's day

DS in shower, then Politics essay.

DD Chemistry homework, then cleaning out rabbit hutch.

DH has driven down to see my mum, then big Sainsbury's on the way back.

I am planting Geum and Pansy seeds and looking in amazement at the Nicotiana seeds that have already germinated from last Saturday. A wide topped radiator by a south-facing bedroom window does wonders!

Lovely to hear so many of you are feeling chirpy and proactive today! Great to hear of all the plans for tasty valentines treats.
I’m on the sofa with Disney+ films on for the toddler as still feeling sick at 29 weeks pregnant. Although toddler is not watching them and is currently running around naked mixing up the duplo and her kitchen toys, saying she is making a house for her dolls. The kitchen is a tip so will tackle that later when feeling a bit better. Then chilli for dinner and pick & mix I had delivered as a valentines treat if I can stomach it tonight. Should be painting the bathroom but that’ll have to wait.
DH is home all day tomorrow so will catch up on jobs then.
MIL had her vaccine today (FIL already done) so there’s light at the end of the tunnel. They’re great in laws, very involved without being overbearing so will be a godsend helping with the toddler.

Half term which means ds and I are off.

Coffee and a cupcake for breakfast and then I had toast for my lunch!

Washer dryer has been doing all morning and my house is like a nightclub but instead of different music per room it's a different fragrance of fabulosa!

It's very windy here and biting wind but ds and I will brave a walk down the beach and I'm making burgers for dinner and he wants to watch a film.

Tomorrow is hoover and bins day and bedding day. So will walk again and have a lovely hot bath afterwards.

He's booked onto an online course for his sport next week and has lots of college work and so I'll read and internet and we will walk as much as we can muster up the energy for!

It's freeeeezing Spent a couple of hours this morning sorting lame ewes , feeding and watering. Pipes frozen. Only just defrosted myself.
Waiting for the Wales Scotland match and The Masked Singer.
Watching Midsummer Murders. Life doesn't get any more exciting than that!

I’m going to cut dh’s hair soon with his new clippers (bit nervous).

He currently looks like a dandelion.

DH took toddler DS in the morning so I had a little lie in (although is it still called that when you were woken 5 times for night feeds?! Someone is teething their molars...)
Coffee and Peppa Pig followed by a Skype call to Nana and then playing in Daddy's car pressing buttons which is the new 'must do' activity.
Some work from home while DS napped and afternoon is likely to be a cold walk in the park and then baking some new allergy friendly brownies from Creative Nature. If I have the energy, hopefully a little clear up into a black bin bag.
Vino and another episode of Marcella tonight on Netflix. Can't complain, though have been feeling a little down with lockdown recently.

Did the big shop this morning, then put pork in the slow cocker for pulled pork for tea today and dipped cape gooseberries in melted chocolate for tomorrow. Been playing animal crossing while toddler tries to help and now debating whether to take said toddler outside to play in the snow or to watch Hercule Poirot with DD.

Later, once everyone else is in bed, I will finally enjoy some peace and quiet and disturb it by playing Among Us with my friends while on voice chat.

I went to the supermarket this morning then onto The Range then DH went to the supermarket as I didn't get the right beer 🙄 Just back from a freezing walk so a quick shower then weekend drinks, games, takeaway 👍

Log delivery this morning.
Went for a mountain hike with my friend after lunch and it was bloody tough. Took 4 hours instead of the usual 3.

Not long home so warming up by the fire, ill run a bath and have wine and pizza.
